booked for firework cruise they knew in advance there were no fireworks and did not advise. No aircon so we sweltered! Packed us in so tight most people couldn’t even get out to get drinks/food/toilet break! Cold meat and salad with pav and lamingtons for dessert! For $100/head There are much better value for money options around… very unpleasant evening.. couldn’t wait to get off.

Christmas lunch at $159 pp package and this review is based on fact not opinion. Firstly, no utensils to crack cray shells and no water to wash your hands after peeling prawns (assume this was to deter and reduce consumption), seafood tasted like table salt, people filling up on bread rolls, uncovered plastic garden chair seating, and cheap quality wine and bubbles. Despite drinks included, people had to pay extra to have a bottle of wine/bubbles on their table. With half an hour to go the lady running the bar started tallying up the til and wouldn’t look up in case someone wanted to order. Absolutely no effort made besides obvious cost cutting and maximising their profits. Best description is a floating RSL club. Even with fairly low expectations given the price this lunch came in well below for many. Extremely disappointing for a local business when return customers are gold nuggets in current times. Would never recommend.

Set out with great expectations of a lovley relaxingcruise through calm waters along through all the islands...and it was.
Nice lunch and morning tea however we should have been given a bottle of water each surely! No!
Lots of places to sit on decks in or out of sun or wind.
Unfortunately the commentary was appalling. Heard about all kinds of boats and manufacturers and tug boats in the harbour while leaving Brisbane but were. very disappoint ed to have so little inofmration about landmarks history bird/ animal life on the islands and interestingg things in generalWe were on the boat for 6 hours and what commentary we got at was barely intelligible and boring
Sorry but a big thumbs down for that. Other crew were very pleasant and helpful and bus ride back to Brisbane quick and easy
We did enjoy our day but could have been heaps better.

Done the Lady Brisbane BBQ cruise from Bribie Island with 7 of my friends Staff were lovely Lunch was OK however 150 people on board mostly seniors We were squashed in like sardines When I booked the cruise I was told we would have our own table When we boarded we were told sit wherever we could find a seat we shared a table with other people We had to move tables along so that we could fit into table to close to side of boat Whenever we had to get up to get meal and for the toilet we had to ask people to move so that we could slide along to find our way out Very disappointed Please keep in mind Brisbane Cruises It is very difficult for seniors with mobility issues to be squashed in like that Very badly organized

Estelle, the management and boat crew are so disappointed that you and your group didn't enjoy your cruise. It's a shame you didn't speak with the skipper on the day instead of taking to Tripadvisor. You all so happy in your photo. Re 150 passengers: We have spoken with our crew and checked our manifests. Whoever you asked has misunderstood your question. We had 46 passengers who boarded from Hamilton, for the full day cruise and had lunch on board before Bribie. They disembark at Bribie Island. We had 93 passengers boarded at Bribie (your cruise). Re the reserved table: With it being a bit rough that day, we removed some tables on the top deck for safety reasons. When you're travelling on a boat, weather plays a big part in how we manage passengers during the cruise. Safety is our top priority. Most passengers don't mind being flexible and sharing tables with others and enjoy other people's company. We do not reserve tables for the reason above, so we're at a loss about that comment. We do appreciate that most of the Bribie passengers are seniors, so we have taken your comments on board and have now reduced the number of passengers on these cruises. We have removed your email address from our marketing database, so you won't be bothered by us in the future.

Our experience was so bad I feel compelled to write about it and warn anyone else thinking about booking with this operator.

We booked 40 guests for a staff party aboard Lady Brisbane’s Riverfire tour back in June for $115 per person. Beware the small print!!! Despite confirming our booking and taking an $800 deposit, when it came to making a final payment the price suddenly went up by $40 each to $155 pp!! They refused to honour our original price as they had a waiting list for the cruise. With 40 excited party guests we really didn’t want to disappoint anyone, and with a week to go until Riverfire there were no other options. AND We were promised it was still great value and would be a wonderful evening.
Our flyer had promoted a delicious feast of prawns, sliced ham, bbq chicken, gourmet salads, fruit platters….well, once again beware the small print. It’s not just the price that’s “subject to change without notice”. The food was appalling. Cubed cheese and cabana, those bright green jarred pickles, corn chips and salsa greeted us. The finger food was heated up supermarket meatballs, tiny “quich”, chicken sticks, spring rolls and samosas…you know the party catering boxed ones….,they don’t taste any better than the cardboard they’re packed in…yes we were served the defrosted morsels (no, not fried) thrown on big trays so everyone could flock like seagulls on a hot chip sticking their mitts in amongst the tray to fill their plastic plate. I won’t even go into the “covid safety plan”, that was a joke.
The toilets blocked up, there was no music on the upper deck where every was crammed in to watch the fireworks (which were incredible) We tuned into the radio on our mobile phones. And listened to the live band on the boat beside us. And enviously watched the guests dance, swan around with their champagne glasses and the buffet dining, well, what can I say…My noodle box (I only got the vegetable option, the chicken ones ran out) looked a bit sad. I cried into my cheap bubbles…. in thimble sized single use plastic cups…for safety according to the operators, they also told us the other boats ticket price was $170….for an extra $15pp I know which boat I’ll be choosing next time.

The lady and gent working the bar were hospitable. And the fireworks were spectacular. But the price change, the catering, and value for money were atrocious. I’ve learnt a big lesson thanks to Brisbane Cruises, so make sure you check the terms and get some guarantees before you book. This company is after your dollar, and don’t care about your experience.

According to Brisbane Cruises, they had a new staff member that should never have sent me the flyer promising the delicious feast, they told me that they’d made a few mistakes. Plus I should have asked someone to turn the music on the upper deck, they never promised “gourmet”, I should have double checked the website…..In the end, the fine print is their justification.

They offered me $20 off my next cruise as a gesture of good will.

Had a fantastic cruise on the MV Lady Brisbane from Gold Coast to Brisbane today with Brisbane Cruises Pty Ltd.
The day started with a leisurely cruise out of the Marina Mirage along the waterways between the Stradbroke Islands and the mainland. Captain Jim provided a detailed commentary of highlights including, history, industry and general information which was really interesting. We were also given a map so we could follow our progress easily. The crew provided morning and afternoon tea and a BBQ lunch with some great salads as well as bar service. The crew were wonderful. Really friendly and accommodating.
The day ended at Brett's Wharf Landing where a bus was waiting to take us back to the Gold Coast.
I highly recommend this day trip to anyone who wants a relaxing and interesting day.

We went on the 2 hr lunch cruise to and from Bribie Island where we live. It was lovely to see the island from another perspective and also to spend a lovely day out on the water.

The crew were all lovely and we had a relaxing trip. The barbacue lunch was basic with salad, bread., sausage and an it of minute steak that we could not cut or chew well. I would suggest maybe hamburgers would be a better option. You could buy drinks on board but was disappointed they are using plastic cups as they did give a spiel about plastics in the water and affect on wild life. My glass leaked and lost half of the contents. We went out and up the passage and around the bay a couple of times, the history was interesting but was disappointed we did not go further up to Woorim side or closer to Moreton as that was what I was hoping for so it was not an itinerary I would recommend if you want more than a sail and a view of Bribie Island

We cruised on a Sunday morning from Bretts Wharf to Marina Mirage on the Gold Coast.

We departed promptly at 8:00 am and arrived on the Gold Coast a little after 2:00 pm.

The route took us down the river and then inside North and South Stradbroke Islands, on a most pleasant cruise. There were comments from the captain along the way but not a constant chatter.

Morning tea was tea/coffee with a delicious muffin and lunch was sausage and steak along with three salads and all were excellent, with fruit served later. There was coffee on tap all day and soft drinks to purchase. (Not sure if there were hard drinks as I didn't inquire)

Overall it was a fabulous day and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting, or resident of Brisbane.

The coach returned to Brisbane at 3:00 arriving back at Bretts Wharf about 4:20pm.
