Seeing the many very very old bible art pieces was very interesting. We especially enjoyed the painted wall that contained many key Bible people. You can spend a few minutes or a few hours in this museum - depending on your level of interest. We spent about 2 hours here and enjoyed it!

My favorite time to visit is around Easter. I love the sculpture garden outside and the feeling of being transported back as a witness to Jesus’ final days on Earth. The museum proper is also very meaningful to walk through, thoughtfully pondering the pieces. Tip: Go with enough time on your hands not to be rushed. Take the audio tour and immerse yourself. And when you leave, make sure you notice the sculpture atop the church across the street.

A small museum but quite interesting - the Jewish silver pieces surprised us in their workmanship. The holocaust exhibit was emotional. The Resurrection Tapestry was the reason for our visit and we spent almost an hour absorbing all that was presented.

I really like this place. The give you a little listening device as your personal tour
guide where you can learn more about the art pieces there. I loved the quotes on the walls, don’t remember exactly what section of the museum it was in but its the first place most people start on the tour. I would recommend it and he guy as the service Desk was extremely nice.

I was blown away by this museum. My expectation was that it would be filled with works of paper- due to the name- I simply though- Bible and other religious paper items. WOW was I wrong. The big pieces were stunning- the via dolorosa set in the garden with larger than life bronze works was stunning...as was the atrium with GORGEOUS statues...We went thinking we'd stay an hour and didn't leave until closing!

We went to a wedding at SMU and the wedding reception was at the Museum of Biblical Art. It has fascinating artwork and relics depicting Jewish and Christian theology. Paintings, sculptures, metal works, etc. are on display.

This was a spur of the moment decision to go and we had a wonderful time. Allow yourself a lot of time to go through everything and to hear the history of different pieces.

Not my cup of tea. If you have older visitors from Isreal, I am sure they will love this place. Under the age of 60, not so much. There is an old Guttenberg Bible, but otherwise was really boring.

A friend and I went with low expectations, not knowing if we'd just stay an hour and move on; we arrived when the museum opened, took an hour for lunch, and stayed till they closed -- and still wished for more time for more careful viewing of a lot of things. We first spent a good while in the Thomas Kinkade exhibit, listening to the audio commentary, and later wished we hadn't invested so much time on that. It was a surprise to see his work there.
However, the rest of the museum pretty much 'knocked our socks off.' It was huge and included quite a variety of impressive modern works by synesthete Kirk Clark [I'd never heard of 'synesthesia' before] as well as a roomful of classical art and impressionistic paintings of Bible scenes. Sculptures that are found at the National Cathedral in Washington were very moving, and Gib Singleton's works were quite notable. Nice room of tribute to non-Jewish people who had helped save Jews during the holocaust, often at great sacrifice; remarkable collection of Jewish worship items made in gold and with sort of secret ways to get them to open. Of course, the experience depends also on which temporary exhibits are there; we were in luck to be there when we were. We found a Groupon so the price was excellent. Photography is not allowed inside the museum; it's hard to describe the most exciting works.

I was all revved up to see the biblical art museum. Outside sculpture garden was great. Inside- so so. Many items were not on display in spite of the titles. When asked why so many things were missing, they stated they had a fire- Guess they lost a lot of items. Was not worth the entry fee. Free parking

That museum is not on the highway... it's several blocks back, next to the neighborhood. I did not find it a problem. It is next to NorthPark -- which is nice to slip over for lunch, but the museum staff will also let you come back after lunch if you just tell them.
