We spent 1 night (2 adults, 2 children) in the Villa Margherita as a stage in a journey to Italy.
We booked this hotel based on a positive comment on Trip Advisor as well as based on the hotel's website information.
We would not recommend this hotel for the following reasons:
- Although it's overall clean, the rooms are totally outdated (we had a suite including a bathroom designed in the 70's and the beds and cushions were really uncomfortable), the restaurant and the swimming pools need serious renovations (nobody would dear swimming in the outside pool);
- The personnel is very nice and helpful but the atmosphere is really the one of a old people's home;
- The location is actually very noisy. The hotel is at the top of a small hill along a national road and under which there is the Lugano airport (small planes but very noisy).
