Apartments are located close to the airport. Depending on traffic/hour of your arrival, it could take 30-45 minutes, I know I thought wow that is far but actually it is not the distance but the traffic that influence the transit time to the apartments. The building might not seem like a last generation building but it was very well maintained. It has a security guard outside, which is common in Bogota and a concierge service 24 hours. Before I get into the description of our unit I will like to give you the highest points on this property, if you want to read the rest but this is the reason we are going back soon to the Sta Maria. Everything was clean, no insects lying around dead or alive. The apartment was cozy, not last generation but warm and with everything you might need to have a good stay. THE LOCATION is, for lack of a better word, PERFECT! The neighborhood was beautiful in an upscale side of town, quiet, without traffic, without loud music or screaming people on the street. It was a pleasure to enjoy the silence. Again location, apartments are located 2 short blocks away from Carulla, a supermarket that stays open 24 hours with a pharmacy inside. 5 short blocks away we had Unicenter a mall where you could find anything you could possible want. We went walking to parque de la 93 and at night there are pubs and discos very close if you are looking for that. We always felt safe walking and everything look clean and organize. Last but not least let me say the complex is QUIET, no people screaming, no parties, and no music which we loved as we really wanted to rest. It had free Wi-Fi and it worked PERFECTLY, which was great for us to do some work and contact the family. Our unit was on the 5th floor and I love it. Then size was perfect for a couple, it was a corner unit and it had plenty of windows so it was very well illuminated. The curtains were perfect especially on the bedroom where you have the solid heavy type that provides complete darkness if you want to. This was important to us and we did pass a different apartment/hotel due to the curtains, we wanted to rest and not to have to wake up due to too much light in the apartment. The bed was comfortable and clean, the mattress was relatively new. We had not complains about the bed at all. They provided a heavy blanket which was a great thing to have for my wife as she said the weather in Bogota was cold; on the other hand for me the temperature was perfect in the apartment and outside. Bathroom was clean and nice, it had a shower with very hot water (day or night) if you need it. No tub. Bathroom fixtures were not last generation but they all work properly and were in good condition. Our living room was spacious and had a couch, a chair and a round table with two chairs. It was adequate and the furniture was in good condition with a nice neutral gray fabric on them. The kitchen was cozy but it did lack some things: a microwave, a toaster, a full set of pans, a coffee maker, a blender, cooking utensils and a place to dry the dishes. We were provided some cooking pans and utensils but this was far for what an American or European would consider as a full equipped kitchen. However, the personal was more than helpful and did provide extra pans or utensils when we requested. We will stay again soon and I have to say that for the price this apartment complex is a jewel in Bogota. Our thanks to Bladimir Contreras, the cleaning personal and our taxi driver.…
