The cottage was perfectly comfortable for two, well equipped and the welcome groceries a nice touch.
The owners had left lots of local information and maps which encouraged us to take a walk from the cottage up the hill, to a deserted slate mining village, which was fascinating and a beautiful walk. Afterwards the cafe by the reservoir was a perfect place for brunch.
There were shops and other facilities only a mile or so away and the cottage was in a perfect location for exploring the beautiful Snowdonia national park. We especially enjoyed Portmeirion, Snowdon, Conwy, the slate caverns and museum and the sandy beaches including Barmouth and Harlech
