Ok but certainly not "stunning"
The accommodation is conveniently situated in the village of Olonzac, which has a great boulangerie together with a popular bar. several restaurants and a fabulous weekly market. We knew the area fairly well from a previous visit and stay in the nearby village of Siran. We were disappointed with the accommodation which offered relatively poor value for money- it cost approximately a third more than Hortenisia Cottage which we booked the previous year, in Siran, and which was of superior standard, in our view. The property is quirky, but dingy, dusty and smelt quite musty. It was also not possible to make use of The TV throughout our stay

Enjoyed our authentic French village home surrounded by vineyards
We stayed for 4 weeks and had a wonderful holiday. The region is beautiful with blue skies every day. There was always a breeze which made the heat very bearable.
The house is a typical French village house with comfortable beds and a great location. It was great to stroll down to the boulangerie every morning for delicious freshly baked croissants and pain au raisin. The lady in the local supermarket was so friendly and stocked almost anything you needed. There was good supermarket just on the outskirts of the village too.
Tuesday was market day and had stalls for everything you could imagine. Fabulous fresh produce, linens, hats, baskets, clothes, shoes and even furniture. If you are looking for a vibrant French village Olanzac is the place for you. The house was really quiet and tranquil despite the fact that it was a stones throw from cafe de la poste.
We had some lovely meals and our favourite was O Prortail run by a wonderful Belgian couple. Nothing was too much trouble.
For trips out cycle along canal du midi to Agens Minervois where there is a lovely restaurant along the canal. Also cycled to Homps where there is a great cave for wine and then on to La Redorte .we brought our own bikes but there are some reasonable bikes at the property. My husband is a keen cyclist and had many trips out around OLonzac and then up into the hills further north. You would need to bring your own road bike if you are planning to do similar trips.
Take a trip to Roquebrun for some kayaking or sit beside the river and take in the views. The gorge at Colombiere is fabulous for swimming in the natural pools. The water is a little chilly but very refreshing. Wear stout footwear for climbing and go early before the sun goes off the gorge.
Our favourite beach was Gruissan plage les chalets and Montpelier has a nice beach too but is a little further.
Close to home Lac de Joarres is a real Jewel and is lovely to walk around and return through the olive groves. The cycle down through the vineyards will be sure to make you smile!
We attempted to play tennis in Olanzac and went to the courts about 6 times but they were always locked up with no information about when you could play. Such a shame. We played tennis instead at Lezignan Corbieres and went swimming in the pool there after to cool down. Be warned that the men need the small tight bathing suits or you will have to go to Carrefour for emergency purchases!,!
Obviously Carcassonne is great to visit and there is a train for 1 Euro that takes you south to Quillan at the foothills of the Pyrenees for another day out. We were there for the beef festival. Not so good if you are vegetarian!
We will definitely go back to Minervois!

A taste of the authentic French lifestyle!
We absolutely loved our stay here! The villa is beautifully renovated in traditional style, showcasing some stunning French antiques. We found it incredibly spacious, relaxing and homely. It has all the amenities you would expect at home including a modern kitchen, bathroom and laundry, as well as cable TV. Enjoying the local wine and cheese in the villa's courtyard was definitely a highlight.
Olonzac itself is a beautiful town, fantastically well-equipped for its size. The restaurants are incredible, as is the Tuesday market. We loved the convenience of being able to walk to excellent restaurants of an evening or the supermarket if we wanted to cook. The beautiful Canal du Midi and Lac de Jouarres are perfect for a leisurely walk or bike ride, and the bikes are a great addition to the property. Further afield, we found Olonzac to be ideally positioned for taking day trips to other historical towns in the region, the southern coast of France, and even the north of Spain. A car is essential if you want to explore the area. It was always easy to find parking directly across the road from the villa. I would highly recommend Belle Coeur to anyone wanting an authentic taste of life in France, and hope to stay here again soon.

Perfect location with loads to do.
The location of this property is perfect for exploring the locality. Narbonne and Beziers are within easy reach, as are their beaches. Surrounded by vineyards, the bicycles provided were a real asset as we were able to leave the car in Olonzac. Minerve is a delight and the Lac de Jouarres provides a place to relax only a short distance away.Equally the Canal du midi provides another lovely cycling/boating opportunity with plenty of shade.Olonzac itself has many attributes, with plenty of restaurants and a large supermarket only a short walk away.
The property itself is very comfortable and provides all the necessary home comforts including a generous shower and very comfortable bed.
Checking in and out was relaxed and efficient with no problems at all.
We would love to return to Olonzac in the future and would thoroughly recommend it to anybody contemplating the idea.

Great house and greta town
I really enjoyed our stay at your house. The house is in a wonderful part of the town, so close to everything. I could park my car just near the front of the house then walk to a bakery and a restaurant of our choice, how good are the restaurants in the town.
The house was so comfortable but the best part for me anyway was the courtyard and terrace. For my wife she couldn't stop raving about the new kitchen and bathroom.
Congratulations on the house and we have already planned to stay there within the next year.

Thanks for a great holiday
Firstly I would like to thank you for a great stay at your house. My wife and I stayed at your house and had a wonderful time there. It is hard to say what feature I liked the best, the french bath in the new bathroom or the sunny courtyard. I think it would have to be the courtyard because my wife and I had many a afternoon drinking champagne and eating cheese whilst the sun went down. The village was great as we have been lucky enough to travel to France many times and found Olonzac to be one of the best places we have been to. Just about every night we would walk to the nearby restaurants and had some really memorable meals there. Having said that we could just as easily stayed at home and cooked in the new kitchen then retired to the lounge-room with the open fireplace. One suggestion I would like to make however, my wife and I enjoyed riding on your bikes to the local lake through the vineyards but I would really like to take my kids to the house so could I ask that you could supply another couple of bikes for them as well. I think my kids also would enjoy the house, the town and the surrounds. Congratulations of what you have created, I will definitely stay at the house again next year.

Renovated house in central position with modern conveniences
The house was very comfortable with brand new appliances in the kitchen and laundry, and a gorgeous big bath and fabulous shower in the bathroom. It was cold and occasionally raining while we were here and the heaters kept the house very warm and our washing dried quickly on the rack inside. The location is a stone's throw from the "centre ville" and not far from a supermarket so shopping is easy. Parking is just opposite in the space in front of the Police Municipale behind the Mairie, so we felt the car was as safe as it could be. The Tuesday morning market was huge yesterday with fabulous fresh produce, clothes, knicknacks, hardware, linen etc. The locals are friendly and we would recommend two restaurants within walking distance, Bel and La Citadelle. A very central location for exploring the Languedoc Rouissillon area, visiting the beach and even going across the border into Spain. The owners and caretakers have made sure that our stay was excellent.

Thankyou!
Thankyou for sharing your beautiful property in this equally beautiful part of the world. We had a truly memorable family time at your property and really appreciated enjoyed the lovely fresh style you have created with the property. We had been staying in Hotels until your property and it was so nice to spread out and be able to cook at home. We gathered fresh produce from the local markets and enjoyed some traditional French feasts prepared from your well equipped kitchen. The town of Olonzac is so pretty. We loved the convenience of the local cafes, restaurants and my favourite the homewares store just down the road! It was positioned perfectly for our day trips to Provence, the antique markets in Narbonne and even the beach. We home to return some day soon.
