The location is fantastic.
The house is spacious and well laid out. If a programme of maintenance were to be carried out, I'd gladly go back.
As it is, I would not go back nor recommend to family or friends.
Great location for some touring - Galway, Kilrush and Ennis were nice days out. Doolin was excellent for musical pubs and the ferry to the Cliffs of Moher and Aran.
Mary, the caretaker was very welcoming and the local shop is good for service and the range of items stocked. The pub nearby ( A E O'Donahues) only opens late evening outside the season and then does not do food so disappointing.
My score for poor customer service is not for Hogans/Sykes but reflects the lack of communication by the owner (not Mary) regarding the broken down water pump - we were not able to use the upstairs shower because of this and the downstairs shower was temperamental/unreliable. Breakdowns do happen, and we appreciated that parts might need to be bought in, but we were there... Plus
