We stayed at Loadbrook Cottage over Christmas and can't praise this cottage enough. On arrival, we were greeted by Alison who showed us around. There was sparkling wine and mince pies waiting for us, even a little Christmas tree - thoughtful touches. We were made to feel most welcome throughout our 6 day stay.
The cottage is really cosy with an endless supply of logs for the log burner. The cottage is centrally heated so very cosy at all times. All rooms are tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, very comfortable with all the essential equipment needed for self-catering. We noted previous comments and made sure that we took towels which are not provided. The only item I never found was a hair dyer but maybe didn't look in the right place. Wi-fi is available but quite slow. We had to walk about 100 yards up the adjacent road to find a phone signal but being incommunicado can be one of the added attractions !
