We had a wonderful time here. The location is idyllic but the house itself is stunning, spacious, quirky, yet practical. It is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and chairs but also has lovely antiques throughout. The kitchen is large and well set up. We managed to cook a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings without having to do without an utensil, serving plate or roasting tin. The entertainment room is a wonderful bonus especially if you want to get away from the sound of a TV, but for those watching the TV there is a DVD collection that would keep anyone entertained for months.
There are several original features of the malthouse visible through glass floors which adds a wonderfully quirky flavour to the accommodation, including the furnace and a well in the bathroom which also has an excellent bath and large shower.
The village which is within walking distance has two pubs but sadly their postoffice/general store has closed. We found the local... Plus
