We travelled to Provence in August with my our three children aged 9, 5 and 2 and really enjoyed our stay at Bambou House, as the location (Calas) was very central whether we wanted to go to the beach (1/2 an hour), to Moustiers (2 hours), do the Velo rail (1hour) or Gordes (1.5 hours). The neighborhood stores were also easily accessible and very convenient, and Calas town had a nice pizzeria (Reserve) with very good food and friendly staff.
The children enjoyed being in the house and the pool most of all, though not having a safety barrier for the pool could be a risk if travelling with very young children. We did use the pool alarm everyday just to be safe.
There were only two things that would keep us from giving it a higher rating:
A) we had specifically checked if there was air conditioning in the villa and we're told there was. The a/cs we're not working when we arrived and we had to manage with a single fan. We could not keep the windows open either, because of the... Plus
