Lovely complex spotlessly clean and very secure, air conditioning was broke so we had 14 uncomfortable nights sleep, beds also uncomfortable and only Portugese TV channels.
Pata Village is about 30 minute walk to the nearest supermarket and restaurants, there is a local shop and 2 bars within 2 minute walk. I loved the peacefulness of the complex and didn't mind the walk but I feel you need a car to get around.
During our stay there was a lady owner of one of the apartments and she watched everything that we did from telling us no glass around the pool, telling other guests to stop eating around the pool, she just made our stay very uncomfortable and it was not enjoyable her thinking she owned the whole complex and looking down her nose at visitors who were renting, kids afraid of jumping into the pool in case she shouted. I feel that if their is a committee of owners who want to rent their own apartments this lady will stop re-renters returning as she makes guest... Plus
