We'd never stayed in a town centre holiday property before but on a recommendation we decided to give Coxswains Cottage a try. It was absolutely fantastic, the cottage itself is in a cul-de-sac of similar terraced properties but has been sympathetically extended on the ground floor to give a light and open kitchen. There are 2 other ground floor rooms and a pleasant enclosed garden at the rear.
The best thing about it though is the location which is just off one of the main streets in Bude meaning that everything you could need is in walking distance including many restaurants (take away and sit in) most of which serve really good quality food. There's a good sized general store within 100 meters, a Co-op at the top off the hill and a small Sainsburys within 15 minutes walk. And I almost forgot the multitude of Ice Cream shops on the doorstep :-)
There's also lots entertainment in walking distance including a fantastic beach with a sea pool and lots of surf schools... Plus
