The landlord was so kind to welcome us with a cup of champagne and to put at our disposition a dozen or so of interesting books about Paris, Versailles, Louvre, etc. Furthermore - when we arrived late in the evening, we found a generous supply of food for the first 2 to 3 days. The owner was readily “rescuing” us every time a problem situation arose like where to take the matches for the bbq or what to see in nearby Fontainebleau.
A great feature of the villa is certainly its general plan that guarantees space and intimacy even to larger travelling groups. We were three couples, and each of us felt at ease, having lots of space in the bright, cosy rooms. From every bedroom you look out into trees and in the mornings, myriads of birds (even small green parrots!) cheerfully sing in the branches.
It was the perfect spot for us to explore Paris and its surroundings without actually staying too long in the crowded centre. Good if you have a car (we did), but Paris is also... Plus
