We have stayed at villa Alberto for two weeks and have really enjoyed it! The villa is located on the hill and has a great view to the sea, Amalfi coast and the valley. So nice to seat at the terrace and watch the sun set or have a breakfast in the small garden that the owners -Amanda and David - are growing with love. While it can be hot down in Santa Maria, there is always a little wind there and it is much cooler. It is surrounded by the Italian farms and this creates a lot of space and air around, though can be a little noisy in the morning with cocks saying "good morning" but we got used to it quickly and it has only added charm to the place.
The rooms were nice and clean, decorated with taste. In fact the apartment is for 5 sleeps - the sixth bed was for a little kid, but when we got a guest for a couple of nights, Amanda has kindly provided us with an exta couch bed.
Castellabate is charming and special. It has nice restaurants - in fact all the best ones are...
