My husband and I visited the Smoky Mountain region to hike the national park and relax in beautiful surroundings. The Honeymoon Hideaway was our home for our week of adventure.
We have stayed in cabins on several trips like this, and this was by far the nicest property we've rented. The log cabin was warmly decorated and furnished. The flat screen televisions and DVD players in the living room and bedroom allowed us to relax in the evening after our long hikes. The hot tub on the front porch and jetted tub in the bathroom offered comfort for our aching muscles at the end of our adventures. The nighttime forest sounds and muted sun (hidden by the shadow of the surrounding trees and mountains) ensured restful sleep every night.
Our experience give us little to criticize. I would say that those wanting to explore the national park at length may find the trek to Cherokee tiresome. We were much happier once we realized we could explore Nantahala National Forest... Plus
