Since my first stay in Cista Cottage in 1998 I have returned as often as I could, with family and with friends. Every time it's a thrill to get there. The location of the house is beautiful: at the right altitude for a great view of Ballinskelligs Bay and the reflections of the ever changing skies over the sea, with the Skelligs in the distance as a bonus. By now I have countless pictures of the view, from the same position but all of them different. It's great to just sit and watch, but also to go for hikes up the hills or down to the bay, or walk part of the official Kerry Way that runs beneath the house. Or to take the car and explore this part of Kerry in every direction. Despite it's position right under the Ring of Kerry road it's surprisingly peaceful and quiet.
The house itself is very comfortable and well equipped, and the present owner is easy to reach and accomodating. Unless one is completely dependent on a wheelchair it should be a good place for people with...
