A pretty and spacious accommodation at the end of a valley, stunning views all-round. Kids loved the pool and boules and generally relaxing. We visited a few Chateaus to 'buy direct' which was bit of a lottery as some of them didn't grow any grapes (vines too young) but a very nice experience all the same, anyway, most of local wines were for sale in the local SPAR which wasn't very local (20k round trip so don't forget anything).
Having driven around quite a few of the nearby villages we felt we were ideally situated - many of the towns further south were very very quiet and this was mid August! Our favourite place was Lagrasse which was a short drive away, a medieval town with fresh water swimming, two monasteries and again lots of local produce to sample...
We had a fantastic two weeks and would thoroughly recommend it - our only criticism is that much of the kitchen equipment was pretty tired and definitely needed replacing/upgrading, may sound like an odd... Plus
