My husband and I, as well as our dog, stayed in this home in June 2011. It's not the fanciest or biggest house on the Outer Banks, by any stretch. But, it allows dogs, and in the off seasons has such a great rate, it's amazing. This house is not dripping with luxury, (which is not a complaint on my part- but may be for some people who visit the Banks) but it IS dripping with comfort. It was clean. The kitchen was fully stocked. And the deck and sunset views over the lake out back were A-Ma-Zing. We sat out there every night. It's air conditioned. Has a washer and dryer, dishwasher. And seriously tons of kitchen appliances.
I would easily stay here again and recommend it to a friend. The beds were comfortable, plenty of storage. The only complaint I have which is small is that the picnic table out back is a little uncomfortable and on its last legs, as well as 2 of the chairs. But... you could bring a cushion to set this on and it would be perfect. I wouldn't even care about...
