We stayed at this single family home the Saturday after Thanksgiving through the following Friday. (2013) .We booked after seeing the ad on TA. The home was very clean inside, however, it definitely needs a bit of a facelift. Outside needs to be cleaned up and a coat of paint would help. The master bed was SOOOOO soft and we are not "soft mattress" people. It was a bit uncomfortable. The furnishings need to be updated as well; pretty worn. Kitchen was OK; nothing special.
The location was perfect however; a minute walk to the Gulf and being pet friendly it was a close walk to Captiva's most popular outdoor restaurants. The wiring in the home was a bit scary. Wires exposed and hanging here and there did not look safe. If you stay, take a big flashlight if you walk at night. PITCH BLACK and NO STREET LIGHTS. Can be dangerous walking on the two lane roads (no sidewalks). All in all, we enjoyed our stay and made reservations to stay on Sanibel Isl. next... Plus
