Our experience began before we arrived with the exchanges with the host - clear and responsive. We were looking for a comfortable farm stay for a family of five with horseback riding available. Lytingsstadir exceeded ALL expectations.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom (with ensuite) wooden cottage that was absolutely perfect for our family (incl girls 12/9/5). The bedroom had a queen and twin bunk beds (sleep 6) and the kitchenette was fully furnished (dual hot plate, microwave, refrigerator and cooking/eating utensils). The pull-out sofa in the main living area is a queen size bed. The cottage also had a TV with DVD player, grill and a deck with chairs (to take in the beautiful view!).
We also took advantage of riding tours offered by Lytingsstadir -- once in the evening and the other the following morning. Each child had their own horse (w/ he youngest being managed by the staff). On the morning ride, we were even able to cross a stream -- a thrill for the... Plus
