The property is very nice and all NEW...and WHITE...therefore the property owners feel they can pass any additional cleaning fees on to the renters and remove those funds from the 'security deposit.' So when you are calculating your costs, be sure to include your security deposit as part of your rental. I have not yet received by deposit back yet and I rented at the end of June (now exactly 2 months later and still waiting) and I was told that it is not going to be fully refunded to me because the cleaners had to wash the a mattress pad and a quilt.
When I signed the rental agreement the house was not yet furnished and I was renting with young children. The property owners furnished the house in white couches and white fabric dining room chairs, and they really expect them to stay clean? Renting to families?
Great new house, just factor the security deposit into the rental cost. Plus
