A beautiful looking place in a charming Balinese style, located well back from the road down the end of a gang (lane). Unfortunately no seals on any of the doors, and not enough screens (those that existed also didn't seal shut, gaps everywhere), meant we were fodder for an enormous horde of mosquitos every night.
Nobody slept well here due to the constant buzzing and bites from dusk til dawn. We sprayed ourselves with repellant, we sprayed the rooms with repellant, we burned mosquito coils, you name it, we did it, and they just kept coming. Eventually in desperation we asked the owner for mosquito nets and they refused, saying there was nowhere to hang them. We purchased an electronic mosquito repellant for our room, and showed the manager when he came around after we told them about the mosquito problem.
