As a seasoned traveller to the Alps this accomodation is some of the most spacious we have stayed in, unless you want to rent an appartment for 8 people for 4 of you to share. We travelled with a 14 and 16 year old so space is a real issue if you are doing the self-catering thing... It is very new and feels it. The kitchen is a good size, and it has a real homely feel.
It is located on the way up to Plagne1800 from La Roche. The driveway to the property is a little steep, and whilst it does get cleared by a big JCB you will need winter tyres or chains if you have a snowfall. We have a Land Rover with winter tyres and getting up and down the drive wasn't a problem.
You can sort of ski in / ski out albeit along narrow paths through the trees and if confidence isn't your thing then it isn't really going to work out... nothing worse than starting and ending the day with a family argument !! However why would you even bother. We put the skis and boots in the car... Plus
