We stayed in the last week of June.
Arrived quite late at night (about 11pm) but the owner was waiting for us and made us feel immediately welcome. There weer also some initial provisions, so we could have a snack when we arrived, and breakfast the following morning without worrying about having to find a shop first.
You definitely need a car if you are staying here - it is about a 10 minute drive from the nearest good shops, and 3-4 minutes from the nearest beaches. About 15 minutes to the centre of Siracusa.
The bedroom and kitchen/lounge area are only separated by a curtain across an archway, but we didn't find this an issue at all. The kitchen had more utensils and crockery etc. than any other holiday apartment I have ever stayed in.
The shower room/toilet is small (which is noted in the property description) but perfectly adequate, apart from the cistern fill being very noisy after flushing.
