Our trip to Normandy was for personal reasons to do with the 70th anniversary of the D-Day Landings. We didn't want to stay too near to the beaches, the crowds expected would have been way too much hassle for us. Instead we looked at staying about an hour away, in a rural part of Lower Normandy. We looked at a number of places and this one stood out. I can't tell you why, it just did! Booking was simple by email and unusually for French gîtes, even those owned by those from the UK, this one used payment into a UK bank account. Makes the whole booking and payment so much easier. A few emails and it was all sorted.
On arrival, we were greeted by Peta, Jason was out but made himself known a little later. Have to say at the outset, these two made us feel very welcome and settled before we knew it.
