We were visiting my husband's family in the local area and needed a base in the Downpatrick area. Our host Greer was very welcoming and friendly, despite a late arrival. He showed me around the cottage and provided important information about the heating system, etc. We were pleased to note that there was a thoughtful welcome pack containing bread, scones, butter, jam, milk and even a mini bottle of wine, which was greatly appreciated. The cottage was well stocked with useful items, clean and comfortable. The children (9 and 6 year old twins) loved their bedroom in the attic. In the morning, we were all delighted by the magnificent views of the surrounding area which were stunning from this particular cottage and in the summer, the patio area would be a wonderful place to enjoy them.
There were a few little niggles about the property which I will outline in the spirit of useful criticism. We had the cottage in winter and it was a cold weekend, but not exceptionally cold... Plus
