Noyers is a delightful, ancient town in a bend in the river Serein. It has small shops and restaurants and is surrounded by rolling hills with crops and woodlands. There are plenty of places to visit within a 45 minutes drive on rural roads that are almost empty.
La Petite Poche is fine for 2 adults or a family of 4. Four adults would have to be good friends. The kitchen is well equipped and the house was very clean and tidy on arrival, with adequate supplies of bedding and towels.
There are a couple of points to be aware of. Firstly, the shower room is very small and tucked under the stairs, but everything worked and the water pressure is good. Secondly, the road has little traffic, but the few agricultural vehicles and lorries do make quite a racket from about 6.30am. You have to shut the double-glazed windows if you want a lie-in.
