Our long weekend at South Wind included seven extended family members taking my 82-year-old mother-in-law on a pilgrimage back to Marazion. She spent her childhood on St. Michael's Mount, and was determined to see it again.
The whole visit was idyllic, but a major highlight was staying at South Wind. The house has to have the most perfect view of the Mount in all of Marazion--up on a hill, framed by a huge picture window. Everything in the house was done to a very high standard. The kitchen and laundry are brand new, with beautiful white goods and tasteful dishes and glassware. The sitting room is cosy and comfortable--more like staying at a friend's second home than a holiday let. Everyone raved about how wonderful the beds were. The bathroom with the shower is good. The only thing I'd mark down is the bathroom with the tub. That one functions, but is crying for an update that includes a shower in the bathtub.
