We had a great time on the tour. It was fun and interesting to hear the darker stories of Brisbane. I would recommend it to others

This was a very average tour which consisted of walking to locations in Brisbane where murders or crimes had supposedly occurred years before backed up by grainy photocopies of artist impressions of the scene or photocopies of newspaper clippings referring to the event.
What was most disappointing was that there was no wider context or historical information which made for a very flat experience, eg. here Mary was pushed into the river after a fight with her boyfriend, here John was shot by his friend etc . The content was very un-engaging and extremely limited.
As has been said by a previous reviewer, conversation was limited to anecdotes from past visitors and the content was delivered by rote. (I have to give credit to the tour guide with knowing all the stories by heart at least)
We checked in with the tour guide 10 mins prior to the start and other than checking our names off got barely a welcome. They then commenced the tour without us although we were sitting on the lion statue that we checked in at and it was the tour operator from their competitor company that pointed out to us that they had started without us. There were only 5 people booked on the tour so pretty easy to have checked you had the right numbers.
Without question the most limited and uninformative walking tour we have been on.

I'm sorry that that was your experience of the beginning of our tour. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but this is the first time I have heard of a host leaving without the guests.

Intressant rundtur i Brisbane, vissa av berättelserna var lite "tvingade", de var inte särskilt läskiga utan mer berättelserna för att fylla upp tiden.

Our tour guide was amazing and had a lot of information about what about happened. She was very entertaining through out the whole tour.

I’ve done many walking tours around the world so I was excited to try one in my home town of Brisbane.
What a disappointment.
Our “tour guide” was a woke millennial who enjoyed sharing her political views with her incredibly hard to understand semi-American accent. Surely it’s not hard to find an actual local to conduct these tours?
She shared some vaguely interesting stories but with limited-to-no surrounding context. She has a folder of badly printed photographs to show but that’s about it. These stories can be shared and bought to life by a good guide but this guide was just regurgitating some basic stories without any personality or intonation in her deliver.
Her historical knowledge as we as her general knowledge of Brisbane was very poor and her conversation limited to anecdotes from past visitors on the tour.
One of the other guests asked 3 times “What’s that building” and the guide just kept replying “The Services Club”. A quick google search revealed it to be an important historical building known as the “The United Services Club of Queensland”.
Brisbane can do better than this and I hope in the lead up to the Olympics there might be some consideration of a tour guide accreditation scheme so individuals like this and the companies who hire them are weeded out.
I would encourage you elsewhere for a walking tour, true crime or otherwise

This tour covers unknown but nevertheless true crimes cases and takes us sights and alleyways we hadn't been before. The 7:30 session we went on added to the "spooky" atmosphere with its city lights and looming shadows.
Our tour guide, India was excellent. She walked us through the best route tour and was knowledgeable on the subject, being very descriptive and clear in recounting the events.
Overall, this tour is a must visit. If you enjoy true crime you'll definitely find this enjoyable, but if true crime isn't your thing this is still a worthy experience - if only for the night views.

We were given this tour as a gift. We did not know what to expect when we started, but we quickly started to enjoy the night sights of Brisbane and the tales of crime as we ventured around the streets, of which, there were some we would not of found.
The walking starts off easy but the final hill is a shocker, especially for myself with two new hips and age not on my side.
In saying this, we did enjoy the tour and finding out more about the grizzly crimes that have happened around the street of our much loved city.

The tour takes you through parts of the city thay you've likely never visited before, talking to you about the dark past and stories of the crimes that have happened there. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, both about the crimes themselves and little tidbits about the city that were fascinating to learn about as we walked to each destination.
In terms of fitness level required, it was fairly good with plenty of stops at story locations or lights along the way, but you do go up the hill along Central station which is quite steep. You have plenty of time to rest afterwards though which is great, but I'd recommend keeping that in mind if booking the Brisbane version of this company's tours.

I went along with my brothers (one teen, one young adult), who were initially hesitant about doing a ‘tour’. We enjoyed ourselves: the stories were interesting, well told and we had a good host (India) who threw in some funny anecdotes to make otherwise tragic stories more interesting.

Thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour, learning about the seedier side of my home town ! Guide was informative, compassionate to the people she spoke about as well as entertaining- will definitely be doing further tours
