Highly recommend this tea tasting workshop with Vivian! She explained how the different kinds of tea were made and selected and the different flavor profiles of each tea. You’ll definitely have a new appreciation for making and drinking tea after this.
Booked this workshop online and was very convenient. Directions going to the store were also provided and very easy to follow.

Lovely experience! A must try! You really get to appreciate the process and taste of tea. Vivian and Vanessa are extremely welcoming and friendly which really makes the experience that much more memorable.

I recently visited the teahouse for my birthday celebration with my husband and it was an amazing experience! We opted for the tea tasting and pairing package and it was totally worth it. We got to try four different types of tea; jasmine, green tea, red tea, and oolong. Vivian, our guide, was outstanding with her warm and welcoming personality. Her passion for tea shines through in her work and she made the experience so enjoyable for us. Her ability to cater to all levels of tea knowledge, from beginner to expert, was impressive. If you're visiting Hong Kong or looking for something special to do on the weekend, I highly recommend this experience.
The pairing of tea with food was a whole new experience for us and it opened up new ways of having tea. Vivian is a master of pairing teas with unexpected foods that ended up working so well together, elevating the entire experience. The tea tasting and pairing class helped us develop a whole new appreciation for tea and we are grateful for the experience. Thanks to Vivian's expertise and passion, we now have a deeper understanding and appreciation for tea. This teahouse is a must-visit for anyone looking to broaden their tea horizons!

We all drink tea and we think that tea is a simple “day-to-day” product in a teambaas, but after the one of the most exciting workshops ever we have learned that tea and tea brewing is an art, most interesting and fun.
Being welcomed with the warmest smiles from both sisters Vivian and Vanessa in may be an odd place in Chai Wan, Hong Kong (but easy to reach and totally appropiate), we found ourselves in the middle of the “tea action” of Ming Cha .
We felt more as guests in the tea dynamics of Ming Cha than just tourists to hear a pre-programmed story and that felt great!!! The good part is that the workshop is for basically all ages. Our daughter of 11 yrs had as much fun as her older sister and us.
Allthough the workshop was officially planned for 1,5 hours we stayed much longer due to the interaction between us and Vivian. The people of Ming Cha eat, sleep and breathe tea and any questions is welcomed and was answered with care and passion.
The workshop itself is a guiding tour through tea brewing “Chinese way” and be smart….ask the questions that pop up in your mind. Vivian and Vanessa love to show their knowledge but also love to meet “tea curious” people.
And yes….you can buy products but they don’t push and what you buy is probably the top of the range.
We, left with a big smile and thanks to the hospitality and enthusiasm of both Vivian and Vanessa it was of the highlights of our time in Hong Kong. It brought us closer to the culture of China.

An amazingly interesting tasting session with expert and passionate Tea Master Vivian. Wether you are a tea novice or a tea lover already, you will learn a lot in a very nice and friendly atmosphere. You will be surprised to discover teas you may already know in a new way.
Definitely recommended as it also gives you a great insight to an important piece of Hong Kong and South China history and culture…

I booked this tea tasting for my boyfriend’s birthday, and we had the best day! Vivian was the loveliest host, she knows so much and loves to get to know people. I was a little uncertain about tea before, it wasn’t my thing, but my partner enjoys it. I’m now a total convert because Vivian gave me so much advice about how to brew and taste it properly. We tasted amazing teas, were taken step by step through the process (Vivian is super experienced, first-hand) and went way over our lesson time just because we were so engaged. This is by far the best class to take when visiting Hong Kong, even if you live here and are looking for something new. Thank you, Vivian!

An amazing experience, high quality tea and great staff!
The tea tasting workshop is exceptional. It is an amazing experience where I learnt about all the different types of tea, how to brew them properly and also much more. The workshop really helped me develop a deeper appreciation of tea and understand the different benefits of each tea. I had been to quite a few tea houses before my visit to MingCha, but the knowledge Vivian and her staff have and way they explain things is much better than I have experienced elsewhere.
The staff members are all very friendly and were really great to interact with. Vivian was very friendly and welcoming. She is also extremely knowledgable and really takes the time to explain things properly.
Apart from the workshop the tea itself is fantastic. I have never found any tea that compares to this. Vivian really takes care to explore the different tea ranges and has truly curated a very high quality range of teas that will not disappoint you.
I would highly recommend a visit to MingCha to try out the tea tasting workshop (they offer an online one also). I would also highly recommend trying some of their teas. I first tried their tea in 2015 and am still buying them now.

Amazing learning experience - also for children!
It was my second time to go to the tea pairing workshop, but this time I brought my family (Husband and 2 children). Even though, it was my second time, I have learned something new again.
Vivian is an amazing, enthusiastic and passionate teacher. She is highly knowledgable and very engaging. Listening to her and feeling her love for tea, makes one just want to drink tea only.
My 12 years old son had so much fun, especially with the food pairing, he would like to go back for his birthday for level 2 session. (ˆ_ˆ)
I highly recommend to join the workshop to gain a better understanding and appreciation of tea.
