If you come to Panama and don't use Camilo you will miss out on an exceptional guide.
I contacted 10 companies and attached an itinerary of information I had found on what to do on a tour. Half didn't respond. The rest just sent their pricing.
Camilo actually read my attachment and responded with pointers and suggestions.
Up until our first tour (I booked Camilo for 2 days 5 hours per day), Camilo was communicative and quick to respond.
Oh, and Camilo speaks English better than most Americans. He had mapped out the places I had said I would like to visit. Camilo was able to provide information on Panama, great conversation, and always able to answer questions, making the drive informative and pleasant.
I felt secure having Camilo with me in any shops and places we visited. I didn't want just the usual "touristy" items. And I wanted to make sure things were really from Panama's indigenous people.
Even when we went to the Canal, Camilo provided a thorough history and set a picture of everything we would see. He kept abreast of the time for the first ship to pass so we didn't waste unnecessary time.
Exceptional service and a stand out even for the most experienced traveler. Camilo listened to what we would like and then went above and beyond to exceed what we asked.

Camilo picked us up at our Hotel in Panama city and gave us a great full day tour of Panama City and the Panama Canal. It was a small group of my wife and I along with another couple we were traveling with. Camilo was an awesome guide!
Camilo also arranged a transfer from Colon (where our cruise ended) back to Panama City. It was cheaper and faster than everyone who booked a transfer from the cruise line.

We are so grateful to have found Camilo on our recent trip to Panama and would recommend him to absolutely ANYONE looking to get the most out of their trip to Panama.
He is friendly, funny, easy going and we enjoyed spending our time traveling through Panama City and attractions with his guidance and expertise. We couldn't ask for better service. They were waiting for our party of 6 (lots of luggage) at the Colon cruise port and off we went is a relatively new, spacious Toyota HiAce. We had a guide and a driver. They took us to a canal spot to watch the "big boys" and then a city tour...then dropped us off at the airport, all in proper order. A well run operation...couldn't have been better.

an incredible experience to be in Panama City. the weather was excellent at the time of year that i went. Panamanians are very friendly and help you with everything you need, they are attentive and they recommend amazing tourist places. the city is full of international businesses and stores, perfect for shopping and sightseeing

Camilo was an excellent guide. He spoke very good clear English and was very knowledgable about the history of Panama, the new city, the Old City and the Canal.
His car seats 6 passengers and was clean, comfortable and air conditioned.
We were driven around with multiple stops for interesting places and photo opportunities and also walked around the Old City.
I would definitely recommend him for a private tour.

We had a fabulous four days of touring with Camilo! He’s everything you can ask for in a tour guide- knowledgeable, reliable, intelligent, speaks English well, and lots of fun. He’s also knows good food and made sure our vegetarian had great food choices as well. We always felt safe with his driving, as well as Jimmy and Emanuel’s driving. He’s also good at anticipating his clients’ needs. Ask him to take you to the best public bathrooms in Panama if you go to the Anton Valley!

i contacted Camilo for a one-day tour post cruise - he made great suggestions on the itinerary. He and the driver Eric picked us up from Colon port on time, visited many places and sent us to the airport in the evening. He was very knowledgeable of Panama and history. At the end of tour, even my picky sister was impressed by his service. Highly recommend him.

Camillo is a great guide AND a great guy. He is a true native of Panama City and knows every corner of his hometown... both the must-see places and the ones to avoid!. The Canal might be his main area of expertise, but from the history of the Casco Viejo to the latest restaurants, he is a wealth of knowledge. You will be in very good hands and come away with a much greater appreciation for this fascinating destination.

I visited Panama for a few hours during a layover and decided to contact Camilo due to the recommendations here. Best thing I ever did. I told him some of the things I am interested in, and he picked me up tailored the 5 hours or so I had to suit what I liked, and dropped me off well in time for my connecting flight.
He seems to know the best of pretty much anything you can get or do in Panama, is always curious to learn more and expand that knowledge, and knows how to plan and optimise according to what you want and the time you have. Due to his broad knowledge and curiosity, he can tell you a lot of background information, knows where or who to go to, and is incredibly patient. In addition, I got the feeling he steers away from scams and really tries to support other, authentic, initiatives as much as he can. This makes him a great choice for the conscious traveller/visitor/expat too. On top of that, he has a great and very dry sense of humour, making him good company for the solo traveller.
In one word 'fantastic'.
