Doc was great. We got to some great sites and he was very helpful.

Without a doubt the highlight of many highlights we had in San Francisco. I booked the sunrise tour with Doc and he took me to various excellent vantage points across the city, which as a tourist are not normally accessible or known. In addition to his considerable professional photographic experience Doc is also a very accomplished tour guide and provided a running commentary on the journey between sites. I managed to get the holy grail shot of the fog at the Golden Gate bridge as well as numerous other once-in-a-lifetime images. Will definitely book again and hopefully to one of his astronomy workshops. Thanks Doc.

Doc picks you up in a roomy and clean Land Rover. He takes you to excellent sites for some night photography before the sunrise and then places for great shots of the city as the rising sun makes it glow. His knowledge of the city is excellent. He is a skilled photographer available for suggestions on technique or settings. Will hire him again on return to the city. Highly recommend his tours.

Ich hatte eine Morgen Tour gebucht. Doc traf am Treffpunkt ein und wir gingen zum ersten Spot schon auf dem Weg besprachen wir, dass es wegen des Wetter eigentlich gar keinen Sinn macht diesen morgen. So vereinbarten wir am selben Abend eine Sunset Tour zu unternehmen und diese war super. Speziell ist noch, that's Doc allway's get a very good Parking spot with his blue Card he can hang on the rearview mirror and from there you can acces the Photospots immediately because he walks quit fast:-)

I recently traveled to San Fran and booked the Sunset Tour with Doc Miles. Unfortunately while traveling that day, I noticed the weather forecast was very bad and I contacted Doc. He quickly responded and we rescheduled for a Sunrise Tour on a different day. Doc took me to some great places and provided advice on proper camera settings along with how he would frame the picture. The results were outstanding. At a few of the stops, I took several different shots from a few different locations. Doc was extremely patient and made sure I was ready to leave before we moved to the next location. I plan to professionally print a couple of the photos to hang in our house. I wished my schedule would have allowed another tour with Doc and I will definitely book with him again the next time I am in San Fran.
I would estimate my skill level to be novice/intermediate.

Doc’s a great guy. Enjoyed every minute of the tour! The Sun refused to come out but there’s very little one can do about it, other than making the most out of the experience!!

I was looking on the internet for the list of the best view points to take pictures of San Fransisco.
I came found the Doc miles photography tour website... luck is really good things because this tour exceeded all my hopes.
The tour is fantastic, Doc is extremely professional and considerate. He knows how to take his time, give advice and adapt the tour to the specific requests of each.
Incidentally it provides a super tripods. The next time I go to San Fransisco, I will return with him for a "sunset" tour !!!

I was lucky enough to attend this sunrise tour solo with Doc on my second day visiting San Fransisco. He is a great tour guide of the city and has picked some fantastic spots to get interesting shots of local landmarks, including both bay bridges, the WW1 and WW2 gun emplacements at the bay entrances and various city areas.
I use a Canon 7D and Doc provided some clear tips about some of the features I hadn't used yet. The end result of the morning was some fantastic photos which look they were taken by a pro. Highly recommended to all visitors and amateur photographers who want to learn to use their camera's to its full potential while seeing San Fransisco at sunrise.

Hi. I’m staying at an airbnb in Daly City, what is the closest hotel I could arrange pick up from? Also, do you provide tripods? I would be interested in either a sunset or sunrise tour . I’ll be available from 5/21-5/24. 5/24, I could do a sunrise tour. I’ll be staying at Wyndham sf into airport hotel
