We three middle aged guys from London are touring some of Hungary and arrived to spend a couple of nights in Tiszafured. After settling down in our apartment we decided to go to the 'beach' via Lidl for a swim, sunbathe and beer. We took the simple path at the side of Lidl exit, to the railway and crossed it and found another rough path to the riverside which turned out to be a campsite. Walking upstream we found the public beach.
It looks like European money has been used to upgrade the facilities with a new building and facilities.
I picked up some recyclable litter on the way but found no recycling bins. I made a point of asking the Tourist Office attendant if there were any and she said no because it is a beach!! I was surprised as they had had a lot of European funding and sustainability is part of the conditions. She directed me to the normal bins. I'd have thought a breach would be a very productive place for recycling the basics of cans and glass!
We arrived about 16:20 despite the entrance having signs about charging and automatic ticket machines the turnstiles were open and people were happily walking through.
We followed through and went to a semi sunny part to the right, finding a spare bench to sit on half in the sunlight. It was hot!
We took the plunge in the enclosed (current free but deep enough) pool to find the water quite pleasant although a bit smelly with organic matter. Lots of locals of mixed ages were throwing themselves into the slow currents of the river itself.
The weeds that grew or were deposited at the edge were identified as European Frogbit, millfoil, water caltrop and floating fern.
We left when most people seemed to be leaving at around 17:50 and exited at 18:00. There were no toilets open at all and the turnstiles were still open.
On walking to the gates I noticed odd contraptions with open mouthed frogs by them... they were plastic bottle crushers and the frogs 'ate' the compressed bottles. Interesting! I thought there was no recycling (according to the Tourism office) but here they are encouraging children to recycle (although the gadget was quite high up!)
Overal a nice hour and a half of relaxing, people watching included. I'm not sure whether if have paid £2.50 for it though!

Mooi strand, het lijkt helemaal nieuw.
Een deel van het water is afgebakend met een brug. Perfecte zwemgelegenheid.
Verderop verhuur mogelijkheid, suppen, kanoën en er is stormbaan voor de kinderen (en volwassenen natuurlijk)
Omkleedmogelijkheid, eetgelegenheid, ijsjes etc.
Betaalde parkeergelegenheid en betaalde toegang.
Perfect voor een dag plezier.
Een deel van het water is afgebakend met een brug. Perfecte zwemgelegenheid.

Tiszafüreden a MOL kútnál kell lefordulni és nemsokára ott van a szabadstrand.
Hangulatos, főleg olyanoknak, akik nem betonteknőben akarnak fürdeni.

Nekem nem tetszett, pedig messziről a stégek jónak tűntek. Zsúfolt volt, és furcsa volt a kialakítása is. Inkább kisgyerekes családokbak való.

Mooie plek om te zwemmen en waterfiets of motorbootje te huren.
Er is toezicht met EHBO en bezoek is gratis. Er is nu verouderd toiletgebouw, maar dit wordt komend jaar vernieuwd.Je kunt er alles kopen van drinken, ijs, warme maaltijden etc. Prima plek om naar toe te gaan met de kids.

There are not a whole lot of places where it is safe and legal to swim in the neighbourhood, but this place is one of them. It is basic, so don't expect fancy shades and stuff like that, but they don't allow motorboats on the beach, the current is not too bad, so you are all right. You can eat and drink, there are toilets, and the river is really charming. If that is all you need, you are going to have a great time. (don't expect to do snorkeling, the water is way too mudy for that!)
