If you go to Dayara Bugyal you must have a stay at Dayara Bugyal Goat Village. I stayed for 3 days and the whole itinerary was given by their team. Location where this is property is situated is extremely beautiful. Everything about this place is amazing! All my 5 star to the stay, food, location & hospitality.

Its Heaven on earth. If you are fit and moderately active then its easy for you.
Visited during 9 - 12th March 2021 to see view from the both world - Snow & Greenery.
For solo traveler / experience silence, deep nature & freedom, i recommend to hire guide cum cook from base village who will arrange Tent, Food, Pony and everything you need. Its also cheap.
Dayara resort at Barsu introduced guide cum cook Deepak, who was aware of up & downs of every corner of Dayara.
Recommended route is Barsu - Bharnala camp - Dayara camp - Bakaria top to Gui camp - Raithal. Or Reverse route.
Its unforgettable moments of life.

The trek goes through the beautiful landscape of the Garhwal Himalayas. The Dayara Bugyal trek is an easy & doable trek during weekends for people for all age groups (Children above 12 years). Trek the highest altitude undulating meadows & enjoy the widespread imposing view of towering Himalayan peaks.
I went there with my friends and that was a wonderful experience. Because it was our first time that's why we book our package with BizareXpedition. And I wanna tell you that they did a fabulous job...

In the month of February 2019, my 9 friends and I decided to visit this place, to be more precisely to trek this place. We booked via India Hikes and it cost us 9000 per person which includes 3days and 4 nights stay along with food, and also guide for the trek.

This is one experience that I will never be able to forget in my lifetime. I understand trekking is an adventurous sport and to some extent, it is risky as well, but I believe the beliefe that the beauty one can witness after a trek to mountains is not comparable to anything that one generally witnesses in hill stations.

this one is a very good and relatively easy trek in the indian himalayas.
the staging area is about 200 kms from dehradun and pretty much takes a full day.
Raithal or the adjescent village Natin is used as a base.
for the first timers,i recommend this trek to be done over 3 days.
there are many companies who organise the logistics and thus it becomes that much easier and enjoyable.
the ascent elevation is upto above 12000feet.
getyourself examined and cleared for this by your physician.

Day 0: Hop on the overnight bus to Uttarkashi.

Day 1: Forest department permission is required for dayara (w.e.f Aug 2018). Do formalities at uttarkashi itself (will be easy). You can hire local shared taxi (Rs.70/pp) to bhatwari. Here also they give permits (nominal charges-give details regarding number of people and days). Else if you have the permission from uttarkashi. Hire direct shared taxi (if available) to barsu village (Rs.100/pp).

Note: If you dont have the permission, you still can go and come back the same day (will be very hectic). Entry fee- nominal for per person, tent wise, pony wise etc.

Day 2: Once you have the permission you are good to go. Guide is not required if you are on budget. Walk is almost always uphill and well made and marked till dayara top. Carry ample food and water as there are no stalls or streams on the way to dayara. After 4km uphill walk there is a flat ground for putting tents etc. Move further up and there will be a nag devta temple and adjoining small pond. Move further up after finding the way up to the hills and after 3km you will reach dayara (from here dayara top is 3km). You can choose to stay here.

Day3: Start for dayara top (6am or early). Its almost undulating path and easy to walk on. As soon as you start you will see the mighty bandarpoonch massif to the right. Pass all the bugyal to reach the highest point at dayara top. You will also see a huge herd of 500+ sheeps. The bugyal looks out of the world in the morning yellow sun light. The more you move forward, the more you feel like going further. The area is totally safe in summers with horses, cows, buffaloes grazing all over. You can choose to walk further to highest point (Bakaria top) or you can walk nearer to the bandarpoonch massif following the path on the bugyal. You can come back once you are done to barsu village or can come as per your permit.

Note: 1) Small huts with local people are there at dayara. They have all the facilities, food, water etc but at higher cost. (Caution- they might have bed bugs, plenty of them)
2) Putting tent is not allowed near dayara top even with permission. Better pitch your tent somewhere down hill.
3) You need special preparations for winters. Otherwise in summers its a family destination.
4) Choose to go when nobody is there to get that feel. Else it will be chaotic.
5) Staying at barsu village is great option. Visit in off season for better rates else it will all be full in season.
6) Uttarkashi to Barsu taxis are not very frequent. Though barsu to uttarkashi will be easy to reach.
