We made a special trip to visit this place while staying in Zagreb. I'd read about this and similar post-WWII memorials throughout Europe, and decided to visit one or two in person while we were in the area.
The memorial site is located up on a hilltop in a fairly remote village, with a lovely view of the surrounding area. The layout of the site is fascinating, and the sculpture itself has a brutalist heft and majesty. There is a plaque near the entrance that says, as best as Google Translate can tell me: "More than 900 fighters from the wider area of Moslavina who sacrificed their lives for freedom and independence during the national liberation struggle from 1941 to 1945 are buried here."
Unlike the other memorial we visited in Croatia, it appears that someone still takes decent care of the place. We were the only visitors. If you have the time and are anywhere near this place, I recommend a visit.

Must see in Croatia.
To get there I recommend Taxi Vedran, from train station Novoselec and back cost me 240 kr (but I recommend to negotiate your own price). The driver knows a lot about the history and speaks good English.

We drove 32 km north from our Kings Pub hotel to visit the hidden gem of 13th C Garic Grad on top of the wooded hills. 3 km northeast was this big 33’ high x 66’ wide gray concrete monument. This heavy concrete structure was built in 1967 to honor WW 11 victims of this Moslavina region. How this particular site, among a rural landscape of hardscrabble farms, was chosen is a real mystery!

Primo spomenik visitato del nostro tour. Gli spomenik sono disseminati in tutta la ex Jugoslavia e sono stati costruiti dal 1950 al 1990 su un'idea di Tito per risvegliare i diversi spiriti nazionali riuniti sotto la repubblica Jugoslava e mantere così la pace e l'unità nazionale. Guardando gli spomenik non dovevi sentirti un croato,un serbo, uno sloveno, ma uno jugoslavo. Questo spomenik è del 1967

me & my husband travel out of our way to see yugoslavia-era monuments such as this, and so far, of all the ones we've seen, this is our favourite. huge and impressive, visible for miles around. well worth going out of your way to see!

This monument is unique and it's one of the kind in Croatia. It was made by famous artist Dušan Džamonja. It looks impressive and it's probably one of the best memorial monumets dedicated to the World War II in Southeast Europe. It shows nice view on nearby lake and forests,

A monument dedicated to the Moslavina partisans who fought against the enemy in WWII. The monument is really magnificent. It can be reached in 20-30 minutes rom the highway Zagreb - Belgrade (exit Popovača).
