The unique "PLA Temple" in China is located in Xisha Bay, Chongwu Town, Huian. The temple was built in the picture of a woman who was saved by members of the People's Liberation Army lives in Jinmen, Xiamen. On September 17, 1949, the temple honors 27 PLA martyrs who died in the bombing of the masses by the 84th Division of the 28th Army of the 10th Corps of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

The bus ride frorm Quanzhou bus station to Chongwu bus station one way will take 60 - 90 minutes. So count minimum 2 hours each direction, since you have to take a bus to the old town as well (bus 221, 1 RMB). The walls are nice, mostly well kept and the rest newly renovated (or "maintained" as they like to call it here). You can walk on a substantial part of the wall since last Ocotber, but after sometime you get the feeling and it becomes quite boting. There are a couple of interesting temples and traditional ancestral houses in the old town, but basically it is not a special place. We would recommned to spend more time in the old alleys of Quanzhou, which we found to be more interesting and lively.

Wonderful walks by the sea, fabulous views. Good clean beach. Be careful of the beach restaurants - poor quality food and expensive. It's a pity the old city walls are not open for walking.

还是个相对游人较少的地方，景点内有各种题材的雕塑，算是当地特色，景点景色不惊艳，但是让人很舒服，比较适合悠闲地看看海和随便遛弯

相对其他知名的海滩，西沙湾这里的人要少的多，面积也比较小，很清静，沙滩上也没有什么摊贩吵闹，很适宜度假。沙子的质量不是很好，海面上有轻浪。

泉州附近有個著名的地方：惠安。令惠安聞名的是電影《寡婦村》，這是很久以前發生在這個小漁村的故事。真正吸引人的是：惠安縣裏一個古老的小鎮一崇武，還有惠安人獨特的裝束。
崇武是惠安縣的一個鎮，是我國現存最完整的花崗岩濱海石城，古代的抗倭名城。
在普通遊人眼裏，崇武半島不過是一個美麗的海灣，但它在古代海防中有著重要地位。現在能看到的古城，是1983年修複過的。翻過一座小山，眼前是一片像月牙一般彎彎的沙灘，那是著名的半月灣，也叫五峰海灘。海邊有些惠安女在織漁網，孩子在挖海蛎，還可以去五峰村走走，那是一個用石頭建起來的村子，挺特別的。

Actually I'd like to rate this place 3.5
Chongwu "ancient town" is designed to lure the Chinese tourist. It's all based on the "ancient" wall which, though not the Great Wall, is rather impressive in it's length of 2.5km and height of 7m. It was built in the 1300s so parts have been rebuilt of course, mostly rough cut sandstone blocks and set without mortar wedged with smaller pieces of stone. The child in me loves forts with walls, towers, turrets and gates but there are just a couple of places to ascend the wall.
It was winter and the Chinese bunker down, so most restaurants were closed. The fishing fleet obviously provides fresh seafood and it summer it would be rather busy I suspect. One especially scenic beach along the walk looks swimmable for good swimmers rather than the family.
A real feature are the stone gardens with literally hundreds of statues, many with a phone number underneath for those that would like a duplicate.
We spent about 3 hours exploring the complex so there's a fair bit to see. Some statues are cheesy such as the Mickey mouse and continual fat Buddha ones but there are more creative ones and themed groups to admire and make a happy snap of. After all the whole area is famous for it's stone work.
For 2 foreigners part of the adventure was getting here from Quanzhou city on local buses and trying to find the right one to go back to the Quanzhou railway station as there are 3 bus terminals. And that could all change tomorrow,

Nice and peaceful surroundings. Beautiful stone sculptures littered the park but certain walkway were badly eroded and damaged. Not a "must see" place if you ask me because I find it rather boring. The stone sculptures are there to showcase the craftsmanship of this town which is well known for making sculptures. Although called the "ancient town", I don't see anything ancient.
