Our vacation rental was nearby so we scootered to the garden on a weekday morning in early June 2024 as we’d read about free garden tours by knowledgeable volunteer docents. When we arrived, we couldn’t locate a garden visitor center or much signage about the garden or tours. It’s a sprawling place with lots of roads/paths and we eventually located signage with ‘Garden tours meet here’ but no other information. We waited and looked around but there was no sign of any tour or guide. We concluded there was no tour and it was also evident that the garden had seen better days. We walked around and some of the exhibits no longer exist and the Camden House is closed. It was pleasant but the garden was certainly not destination-worthy, especially if you are only in Bermuda for a short vacation. The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art looked nice but we did not go in the museum. The tiny museum gift shop there was cool with some neat handcrafted items. The highlight of our visit, though, was the little café called The Botanist in the museum building which we had not known about. They had nice lunch items and had recently introduced a cocktail menu! The cafe staff were really friendly and helpful and the courtyard was quite pleasant. Check out the toads in the fountain. You order at the counter and find a table and they bring your items. We had a ham and brie sandwich, IPA on draft and cocktails. All were great.

Supposed to be open on Sundays, it was not. Signs said cafe open. It was not. Sign says restrooms open. They were not. Two distant portable toilets were found in a parking lot. They were in horrible shape, not maintained, no water or soap to wash hands - place looked abandoned.
Couldn’t find anything close to curated or indicated botanical gardens.
The “Botanical Gardens” should be closed and upgraded or permanently closed.

Escaped Boston weather so was a treat
Well maintained but of course out of season.
We enjoyed it and bus access from Hamilton was easy
Still was worth visiting in February

We visitied this place and despite some poor reviews, we thought it was very nice. Its free and their was some interesting flowers and trees. Its open surise to sunset, so go early when its cooler and crowded. A very nice walk. It is likely that the best time to go is late spring when things are in full bloom. We had a nice visit for about an hour. Light walking with some inclines but very accessible. Enjoy !

The Botanical Gardens are really a public park with a few trees and flower beds.
With the tropical weather of Bermuda, one might expect a scientific based garden with organized and labelled plants and trees. Nothing of the sort. An old aviary sits empty and sad. Probably best for the birds. There were several workers trying their best to make a pleasant experience. A nice public park period.

Expected to see well kept gardens and associated buildings, exhibits, etc. We were very disappointed. Allow 15 minutes to see the flowers and trees in bloom.

The Bermuda Botanic Gardens are a nice place to visit if you have some spare time. They would be particularly good for visitors with mobility issues as there are many smooth paths. Additionally, for those who are blind or partially sighted, there is a small but varied sensory garden.
You can get the bus there from Hamilton or if you have the time, it is a nice walk along the water from Hamilton (and then up quite a steep hill)! It has public loos on site.
This was one of the few attractions on Bermuda that was free, although given the abundant flowers across the whole island, I did wonder if you might be as well just walking past some gardens outside of Hamilton!

As always, we visit the Botanical Gardens every time we visit Bermuda. In recent years, it has gradually deteriorated to the point where we didn’t enjoy our visit. This time, we noticed a marked improvement over our last visit a few months ago. The staff was busy grooming and week and cleaning up the property. Hopefully, on=ver time, they will return it to its former glory.

We’ve been to many botanical gardens. This was far and away the worst. Poor signage, disjointed paths, and bad displays. It was a wasted and disappointing several hours. If you are visiting Bermuda, perhaps this review will save you some lost time.

As a park it was good, but botanical garden it is not. If you want to wander round a park this is a good place, however, it has no botanical characteristics at all and is not worth a special journey.

Some guidebooks say that there is a guided walk on Wednesday and Friday. Others say on a Sunday.
We shall be in Bermuda Late November.
Can anybody provide confirmation of dates and times?

What I would suggest is going on their website and most likely there you would find the most updated information. We just walked around the gardens by ourselves and did not inquire If there was a walk. The gardens are very pretty.
