Apesar das estradas serem muito más, estreitas e com canais de drenagem da água das chuvas nas bermas muito profundas sem dúvida que merece a pena visitar este verdejante e bonito vale.

This valley is the caldera of a volcano and full of rich soil. It is a bit of a breadbasket for St Vincent. Views of the area are very pretty from various view points at the edge of the valley. It’s worth taking the short drive from Kingstown to look at the area.

Our taxi/guide drove us through the valley from Fort Charlotte to Montreal Gardens. The valley is very fertile and is the area where most of the crops eaten on the island are grown. It was interesting to pass through the banana plantations and see the banana to be exported to foreign markets. It was even more interesting to see how the smallholdings were tendered. our guide Norris Dennie was very informative Tel:528-5060 or 430-5636.

Very interesting drive to get to the valley, but views were amazing and if you know something of farming, identifying the various crops and areas is pretty interesting, The drive there was a little hair raising given the tight switchbacks and narrow roads but worth the time.

Amazing valley that just keeps on going, up and up into the hills and then a mountain. Views back down to the sea, a jeep/Guitars helps as does some patience to navigate the route but the scenery is worth it.

Having been underwhelmed at the Black Point Tunnel we decided to return via the Valley. The drive was a challenge because our 4 wheel drive hire car wasn't ! It only had 2 wheel drive; the road surface is full of potholes and becomes tracklike in many places; the roadsigns are non existent !! We only got back to Kingston by giving a lift to a lovely chap who needed a lift after church and offered to direct us.
