Me and my wife did this twice, while the wines tasted good and it was fun to blend our own, they did not sanitize their bottles, corks, or corker causing the most of the bottles to explode all over the floor of our room and carpet.

While this was fun, it was not worth price due to only 2 surviving past a week.

Great private wine making

We were in port for the day on a cruise and booked a private wine tasting and blending session at Bahama Barrels. It was a 15 minute walk from the cruise port. This is a small winery and the only winery in the Bahamas. The private room was air conditioned (big bonus) and inviting. We were lucky to have the sommelier, Ravelle, who was wonderful. She did an excellent job of describing the wines and was very knowledgeable. The best part was the wine blending and getting to make our own bottles of wine. This was a fun process and we were then able to fill the bottle, cork it and label it. The price was very reasonable and it was a very fun time for us and our friends. Highly recommended ! Thank you Ravelle!

Highly Recommend!

We visited this from our cruise ship. It was an easy half mile walk to the place (uphill at the end going there, but downhill on the return ;)). Ravelle was our guide. She was funny, knowledgeable and made us all feel very welcome. We learned about the different wines they produced and were able to blend them to our liking to create our own special blend to bottle and bring home. The place was an old church so that added to the ambience. Make sure you have find before you do this. There is a lot of fun wine tasting going on! Highly recommend if you've been to Nasdau before and want something different and adult fun.

CANT WAIT TO COME BACK
I will most definitely recommend doing this if you’re visiting ! Everybody was friendly and helpful and you get buzzed most definitely! I loved every part of it . You also get to take a bottle of the wine you made !

Fun in Nassau

We had a really good time! I can't say that I really learned anything about wine-making, but it was a lot of fun sampling the different types and mixing them together to create my own blend. If you are hoping to become a sommelier, this is not the class for you. However, if you just want to have a lot of fun while in Nassau, I recommend it. Part of the fun was that we were placed in a group with two other couples who were great. My only negative note is that the label machine was not working. They promised to e-mail our labels to us so let's see if that happens.

Much better than some of the large group tours one can take.

We were quite disappointed with our experience.
1.)The A/C wasn't working although they tried to accommodate with a few box fans IT WAS HOTTT.
2.)The host wasn't engaging at all and kept leaving us without much guidance as to what to expect next. He never introduced himself or even acknowledged my birthday and we were a group of 7. I'm glad the other guests were nice. That really helped with making the best of it.
3.) The cork machine is broken and nobody informed us until the end. They just gave us screw tops which was the biggest disappointment.
4.) They gave us cheap brown paper bags from the liquor store instead of wine bags.
5.) The labels were mixed-up and wrong and it took a while to get them right.

I would've preferred if they were more upfront with their shortcomings and gave us the opportunity for a refund. Definitely not something I'd pay for again.

Must stop from Cruise port!!!
Wow! My best friend and I just returned from our first cruise together and she booked us this experience before we left. It was not offered through the cruise line which is a good thing. This made for an affordable experience and not only that but fun and educational! We even blended our own wine to bottle up and take home with custom labels. Our winemaker was truly amazing! She was generous with the pours and made sure everyone was well taken care of. We ended up with a group of 4 others and it was perfect. We made new friendships for sure! I also bought a bottle of Sorrel. Sooooo good! Tip them well, they work hard. Thank you to the wonderful winemaker lady for your hospitality!

A perfect way to spend your time in port!

We had so much fun for our “winemaker for a day” class! The location is very cool, just outside the busyness of the port area. We were the only 2 guests! Our guide, Brent was great and so much fun. We loved the process and that we could take a bottle of our finished product, complete with our own custom label. Best experience in Nassau!
