Interesting and unique adventure destination... we arrived on a sunny day and enjoyed the beautiful views and friendly staff. We grab a cup of coffee and some home baked pastry. We sat outside on the deck and took in the sights.

My husband and I took the WP&Y railway & suspension bridge tour on our Alaska cruise in Skagway, AK. It was great! We had an excellent tour guide on our way up the pass by coach bus, who told us a lot of history and facts about AK & Canada, and we had lots of photo opportunities. Worried b/c this was coach, but it was not overly crowed and it was a pleasant drive. The bus was air conditioned & comfortable. We visited the Suspension Bridge as part of the tour up the pass & it was so interesting. A beautiful site, worth visiting. The grounds are beautiful, with museum aspects, lots to see & learn about Canada & history, & walking across the bridge was cool. Great architectural design. There is a small restaurant on sight, for light snacks & drinks, but you can take your own snacks, too. The only negative was that we wanted to spend more time there. It was just beautiful. The railway was the 2nd portion of the tour and it was a phenomenal journey down the pass & back into AK. Amazing to be so high up in the Canadian territory. It was sometimes hard to hear the speaker, but they provided booklets with the info & history of the pass. The scenery was breath-taking. Great tour if you want to see the land and scenery in AK & Canada. Passports are required for this tour. Note: the train lets you off outside of Skagway and it is a bit of a walk back into town. Just wear comfortable shoes & be prepared to follow the crowds, as we did not know which way to go because we had no set tour guide off the train. Not too bad, but we did not know this & it would have been helpful, so we didn't feel so lost. And the walk was pretty. Got to see the residential part of Skagway, which was interesting. Overall, we really enjoyed this excursion.

This is a bit expensive at 20$ per person but views were great and we were able to go between cruise tours so had it to ourself.

We visited on our Skagway cruise day after hiring a car to explore the area.

As with other reviews, its expensive for what is included but its not something we would have wanted to pass on. It's very well kept and the staff are very friendly. You do get lovely views and there is no rush to move on.

This was part of our tour package and I am glad we experienced it. The bridge of course is the major attraction and we loved crossing it to the other side. Lots is great information and the signed pointed to all the surrounding mountains which was helpful. The staff was very nice as we were there at closing time, but they never rushed us.

This was part of our excursion with Frontier Excursions. The bridge was completed in 2006. It is 65 feet above the Tutshi River rapids and 200 feet long. When crossing this pedestrian bridge with other visitors it was quite fun to feel the sway of the bridge. There are educational displays for us to learn about the history of the area. There are also two beautiful wooden buildings. One of them is the information centre that has souvenirs, snack shop and washrooms. The other one is Cliff Side Restaurant. If you don't go for food, just go there to take a look at the train set, set up at the window of the restaurant.
When you have the opportunity this is a must-visit attraction, the scenery is magnificent and you learn about how people lived in the area long ago. When finished the visit you can have your passport stamped. I was so amazed in such cold remote area, some company was willing to build the bridge and complex and now it is owned and operated by the locals.

We paid $14 for a senior ticket, waste of money! It's just a tourist trap. Besides the bridge there really is nothing else there. They say they have a wildlife museum with a woolly mammoth. It's a cafe with a mammoth tooth!!
Don't waste your time or money!

We stopped by to check this bridge out seeing as it looked like a big tourist attraction. When we saw the price just to walk across the bridge and look at the museum though we were shocked ($18!!!). The guy at the ticket office said if we wanted we could just pay $5 to have a look at the bridge though, so in the end we decided to check it out, hoping it would be worth it when we got inside.

When we got in there we were scratching our heads. $5 to look at a bridge? More like $5 to take advantage of cruise ship passengers. When we got to the bridge though there was no one checking tickets, so we walked across anyway. If you have a fear of heights maybe it'd be interesting, but the views really aren't that great compared to what else you get everywhere in the Yukon. Even paying $5 for that felt like being ripped off, and if we had have paid $18 we'd be severely disappointed.

We rented a car and came across this hidden gem. It was so cool. I am terrified of heights but made it across. It was breath taking and we loved this!!
