The views of the Atlantic are amazing from up there. It exceeded my expectations. The views are situated on private property, but signs inidcate to be courteous. We went later in the morning, but I bet the sunrise is amazing.

Off the beaten tourist track, we used sat nav and a Google Earth screenshot to find it. Half the fun was the journey itself. Most side roads in Barbados aren’t great, we had a high clearance car which avoids all the steep potholes.
The viewpoint is free and unmanned, but there are a few bungalows nearby. Viewpoint is at end of road, with parking area (and portatoilets). Well maintained fenced park with benches, tables and information boards. Platform for East coast Lookout is actually an old tomb.
Brilliant views of East Coast and Bathsheba, we enjoyed this more than Cherry Tree Hill lookout as we could just admire the view on our own without rushing. Collection box for (deserved) donations to maintain the park.

Conhecemos este lugar no passeio de jipe. Ele fica no lado extremo leste da ilha. Existe uma parada para estacionar e curtir a vista. A grande atração aqui é ver as praias e litoral do lado leste de Barbados, inclusive Bathsheba.

This is not the easiest place to find and for us even with google maps it was quite challenging. There is a small car park but no cafe and two portaloos although I didn't check if they were open.
You certainly get spectacular views down to Bathsheba and the east coast. There is a sort of viewing platform and some trestle tables if you have brought some refreshments - seems popular with the locals.
It is worth a visit if you happen to be in the area which you probably will be as there are some nice attractions close by.

Fantastic view from this historic hilltop of a long stretch of the island. Colonel Hackleton is supposed to have ridden his horse over the cliff to send both of them to their deaths. (Why the horse?)

Sadly the day I went it was misty, cold and wet! It was part of a tour with a jeep Safari
Suggest you go on a clear day, sure then it would be a nice view
There are portable toilets there but they are not great but nothing else

Hackleton's Cliff extends for about a mile at almost 1000 feet above sea level overlooking the east coast of Barbados.
At present, there are only two or three lookout points from which you have an unobstructed view because most of the cliff top is covered in dense bush, but from those points, you have one of the most scenic panoramic views in the Caribbean.
The easiest way to get to the lookout points is to go on the Island Safari adventure safari tour that makes a fifteen minute stop at two of the points. Just make sure that they are stopping there. But you can also drive yourself. CAUTION: If you have small kids in tow make sure you keep a close eye on them: the drop to the forest below is about 400 feet and the cliff edge is not fenced in many parts.

We stopped here during our tour. The views are so beautiful. The place is well kept and the backstory is very interesting.

We visited this spot while touring in a rental car and following stops recommended by a local safari company. This point provides you a gorgeous view of the northeast coast. There is a small but beautiful garden at the cliff as well with a couple of benches to sit on. It was definitely worth the drive - not too far from Gun Hill. As we drove back down the hill toward the west side of the island we spotted a good-sized monkey crossing the road. As we approached, it ran up a hill and leapt into a grove of trees - it was the only monkey we saw on our week-long trip to the Caribbean.

this is a must-do that costs nothing. great view of the east side from high up on the cliff. there is a porta-potty there but that is about it as far as facilities. if it is cloudy or rainy, just wait a bit. lots of safari truck stopped there but we had the place to ourselves for a bit as well.
