30 minuti in auto per 10 km. 20 minuti di sentiero ripido. Molto affascinante, le case in pietra sono state tutte risistemate è stata costruita anche una teleferica ma purtroppo il progetto di recupero è stato abbandonato. Vale la pena visitarlo.

we walked from shatili its 12 km walking on nice easy road ( for cars)
about 2 hours walking slow and nice
in the road there also few knights graves
holy place but u can see there skeleton from open window
when u reach to mutso u start to climb about 400 meter and there few place u can stop to breathe if u need the climbing is little difficult if u not use to
but the fortress is beautiful u can climb to the top view is wow
when we came bace we sit for drinks and eat small restaurant for beer and local food
then we walked back again to the guest house it was tired but nice we saw small snake
again its near shatili and must if u there

Подъем очень крут... перепад высот - 170 метров... Чем выше поднимаешься - тем шире виды)) Башни такого же плана, как и в Шатили. Большая часть отреконструирована, но конца и края еще не видно.
Посетить однозначно стоит. Дорога из Шатили проходит по очень красивому ущелью.

This place is so beautiful and amazing to explore. It has a lot of the old buildings left and you can get those explorer chills from the old pesthouses outside the fortress where sculls and bones still lay. Surrounding mountains are a great backdrop. Its a small climb but most people would be able to do it. Be mindful of slippery stones and rocks.

Mutso è uno scenografico villaggio medievale di montagna fatto di case-torri che è in fase di recupero e valorizzazione. Si trova ad alta quota, abbarbicato alla montagna e offre scenari di una suggestione unica. Per visitarlo bisogna però mettere in conto un viaggio di un certo impegno, scarpinata finale compresa.

This hike was totally worth the sweat. Mutso is a ruined village accessible by a relativey steep climb from Shatili. Very beautiful natural setting too.

É uma aldeia muito antiga, praticamente em ruinas, situada nas montanhas da provincia. Está praticamente abandonada mas é centro de atracção turística, não só pela bela panorâmica mas também pelo simbolismo místico que encerra.

Musto located about 30 mins drive from Shatili, and you can also do it by walking ( I guess for 2-4 hours...).
you get there and go up the hill ( a bit steep but nothing to hard), and you can explore the ruins of Mutso. those the ruins of stone towers once stood up there, and you can find few shrines/ graves (skulls and bones included so take it into account of you travel with kids...). Also there's a beatiful scenery when you get to the top (about 20-30 minutes climb).
P.S - last year i've seen some work there, maybe now its renovated.
P.S II - take sunscreen and hat, its hot up there in the summer though there's a good wind not enough shadow.

Крепость Муцо поражает - расположена на крутой скале, сложена без цемента из камней. Множество строений на территории. 10-20 мин по крутому подъему - и вы наверху. Внизу склепы с человеческими костями, черепами - немного жутко. Вид сверху прекрасный. Сама крепость находится не в лучшем состоянии. Но в 2014 начаты восстановительные работы, ведутся активно. В 2018 обещают закончить. Находится в 10-12 км от Шатили.

We visisted Mutso on a 2-day tour through Khevsureti. Mutso is an old village, with interesting architecture in a wonderful environment..if you manage to go, do so! some tombs as well on the way up (it will take you 20min to climb up). Went with a very good Georgian guide: Dali Chokheli from ShatiliTours which i found on Facebook. She was very communicative,caring, spoke well English and would tell as apassionately about the region... it was very interesting! was worth it every minute!! this is still an unspoilt region!
