Visited for a short notice spa day with cheeseboard and Prosecco to follow..
All staff were great.
Treatments were fantastic, thanks caitlin
Special shout out to Kath in the restaurant for looking after me!
Couldn’t have Prosecco as was driving, so she presented me with a fantastic mocktail menu.. which was fantastic!

Excellent service from Kath in the club rooms - couldn’t be more helpful ! Really enjoyed our stay before flying home to Australia.

Lovely spa day with friend. The spa facilities weren't too busy as it was through the week.
Maria was a brilliant masseuse. She explained to me what products she used for my facial which were perfect for my skin type! She also made sure the pressure for my back massage was just to my liking. Thank you Maria! Although I rated this 4/5 as the treatment room was a bit cold, my friend also said she left feeling chilly.

Conseil :Arrive 2 hrs before treatment time. Robes, slippers and towels are provided. Oils will get into hair from facial and scalp massage.

I visited Crown Plaza Newcastle for a spa day,bought for a birthday treat.
I had 2 treatments back massage and facial by Shona (not sure if that's correct name) but the treatments were brilliant thank you.
All staff in spa were very helpful nothing a problem and all very friendly.
We then asked if we cd book afternoon tea. The gentleman in desk said he did not work in restaurant but wd ask for us, returned and said yes to go enjoy our cocktails and they wd let us know when table was ready, and after sitting enjoying our cocktails two very friendly ladies came and took us to our table and afternoon tea was served. These ladies were super. In fact
the whole day was fantastic, will certainly recommend Crown Plaza Newcastle to family and friends.

My partner and I recently went for the afternoon tea spa day with treatments. Modern facilities and excellent staff. In particular Nicola who was fabulous with her facial and body scrub. Only downside was the pool was too cold for me. Food was amazing and even included a cheeky cocktail in the gin bar afterwards. Parking is a pain as there is no onside parking. However I have a blue badge and the staff allowed me to park right outside

My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely spa day at The Crowne Plaza yesterday. The day included an afternoon tea with a cocktail, use if the spa facilities and 2 x 25 monute treatments each. The day was well organised and easy to book. The afternoon tea was delicious. There was a good selection of cocktails to choose from and they were really tasty, and well presented. The staff in the bar area, where we had lunch, were friendly and very helpful, despite the fact it was quite busy.
The spa facilities were on the small side, but perfectly adequate for a couple of hours relaxation. It was all clean and well maintained.
The treatments were amazing. Our therapists Caitlin and Seanna were very professional and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The treatment rooms are tastefully decorated, clean and spacious.
We would definitely recommend and we will be going back as soon as we can.

I have just had a wonderful facial with Seana, as well as an amazing back massage. My skin feels incredible after. The facilities are great, clean and the staff are very friendly. Well worth a visit.

Best back massage and facial in a long time.
Caitlin was so professional. She had a confident yet firm touch and provided a real therapeutic experience.
Afternoon tea was lovely and the waiting staff were accommodating when we requested changes to the food & drinks menu.
My only negative is that there were not enough loungers in the pool area and the water dispensers ran out.

Seanna couldn’t have been better! Best massage in a long time. She made the whole experience so relaxing and enjoyable. 10/10 will be back!

Pro:
Massage was ok - had better massages before
Spa was overall nice and clean, decent size changing rooms, swimming pool and jacuzzi
Cons:
Parking was a nightmare. It should be free
Afternoon tea - it was rubbish. Not a single sandwich was suitable for a vegetarian or vegan. It took them 35 mins to bring the food which is shocking (all they have to do is put the ready-made food on a plate and serve). The burger had halal chicken in - wasn’t nice at all. The cake was dry. Scones too hard. Everything was off. They NEED to improve on their afternoon tea catering! This was the worst place I’ve ever had afternoon tea.
Please include: egg mayo, cheese and savoury, tuna and sweetcorn (these are very basic sandwiches you can make!) sandwiches and improve on your chicken burger and add some seasoning. The tea was cold by the time the food arrived.
Overall spa was nice but afternoon tea 1/10.
