Bonjour. We are very sorry to see your review here on this page. In the first instance, according to our records, you didn’t make your reservation through Viator/TripAdvisor. Secondly, as you might imagine, as a small business, we don’t take having to cancel tours lightly. Last week, one of our vehicles developed a serious mechanical fault, and we have had to cancel a number of tours until the garage can repair it. We advised you on 1st June (your tour being booked for today, 6th June), and sent you a full refund.
It is absolutely NOT the case that your places went to other people, as you assert. Why would we do that? It makes no sense, and we would gain no benefit! We have well over 200 5-star reviews and are a professional and ethical operator, with genuinely delighted guests. In fact, until this incident arose, we only had a 0.5% cancellation rate on Viator since the start of the year (stats available), and that was for a situation beyond our control also.
We have reached out to you via text and e-mail to try and find another solution. We had subsequently managed to find you spaces on one of our tours starting from Cannes, owing to a last minute customer cancellation**, and even offered to come and collect you from Nice to join the tour. However, it looks like it is just not possible to fit in with your visit to Nice on this occasion. Naturally, we understand and are very sorry indeed for your disappointment. If you come back to Nice again, please do get back in touch, and we will give you top priority and ensure that you have a wonderful experience in our local vineyards.
** Yes indeed - please note that customer cancellations affect us as well, and often at the last minute, leading to us losing revenue when places go unsold. For small operators, just recovering from the Covid years, this is not good news either.
