Nicole led us on a great hike to Mt. Pilatus. We met at the train station arch in Lucerne, and then rode the bus to the trailhead to Pilatus where we began our hike. During our approximate 2 hour hike, Nicole was very informative about the area and provided lots of good information we were able to use on the remainder of our vacation, not only for the Lake Lucerne area but also for our later trip in the Jungfrau region. We both felt it was fortunate to have hiked with Nicole on our first day as it really prepared us with great information for the rest of our hiking vacation. She very knowledgeable, kind and fun to hike with. We highly recommend!

What an amazing day. Nicole met us promptly at our hotel and we began the day with our best day in Switzerland. We traveled by train to Mt Titlis on a perfect sunny day. Nicole was funny, interesting, friendly and knowledgeable and if only i could remember half of what she said I would be happy. The train ride passed quickly as Nicole told us tales of the Swiss life and best of all she had a bag of Swiss candy, yummy! The glacier walk was anazing, the ski lift ride (was my first ever) was fun for me and all of the gondola rides were so beautiful. We had the opportunity to walk in the snow, throw snowballs, slide down the snow hill on our butts and eat outside while watching the people ski down the slopes right in front of us. The suspension bridge was great. We saw a vending machine with cheese in it (picture attached) and got a great picture with a cow and the snow. This is our best memory of Switzerland and thanks to Nicole for sharing with us her love for the Swiss. YOU will not be disappointed in this adventure well worth it in spades.

We had a great day with Nicole. Our trip to Engelberg began with a lovely hike in the mountains. We had an amazing lunch at a little restaurant nestled in a valley, surrounded by pasture land and filled with the music of the cowbells. We then took trotti bikes (basically bicycle size scooters)the rest of the way down the mountain. The scooters were so much fun that we took the tram back up the mountain and did it again! We ended the day by returning to Lucerne and going to the Lions Wall. Nicole provided lots of local insight and was a pleasure to spend the day with! I really enjoyed the hiking and the opportunity to get away from all the crowds in the traditional tourist areas.

We discovered Nicole on Trip Advisor after reading some of the reviews and we were not disappointed. She was very knowledgeable about travelling and trekking in Switzerland. We went trekking in Lugano and stayed in mountains huts and then had an amazing boat ride. We highly recommend her!

Our family really enjoyed the chocolate and cheese walking tour of Lucern! It was informative and fun. Our guide, Roli, was knowledgable and helpful. We really liked him.

We hired Nicole for a half-day hiking tour on Mt. Pilatus. She met us at our hotel promptly at 8:30. We rode a bus to the trailhead and hiked up several miles and then rode the gondola to the top. Nicole left us there, but she gave us detailed instructions for the rest of our day (and even gave us helpful advice on the rest of our trip). Our hike was fabulous! The green meadows and mountain views were beautiful. Sheep were bleating and cow bells were ringing--it seemed like we were hiking in a post card! Nicole was so pleasant and helpful--it was like meeting an old friend who happened to know just where to go and what to do. We couldn't have had a better experience!

We contacted Nicole to take us on a tour of Mt Titlis and we where so glad we did.
She was prompt and extremely informative.
We had a wonderful day with our teenagers raving about how much fun they had. We would not hesitate to recommend Nicole to any of our friends.

We were searching the web for guides in Switzerland and we truly lucked out when we found Nicole from Outdoor-Reisen. She was a great communicator from the very first email. Easy back and forth discussing hiking options
making the entire email experience feel like she was really understanding who we were and what we we wanted to do. When we met up it felt like we already knew her. We loved how flexible and easy going she was in helping us make decisions based on weather, our capabilities and how much we wanted to do. Turned out to be a great day with wonderful hiking and an amazing meal. She went above and beyond by looking at our itinerary and helped us with hiking ideas for the rest of our trip. Every suggestion has been brilliant! Having a local guide you is the best idea. Having Nicole is the perfect solution!

It's really challenging to select a private tour guide when planning a trip, so we chose to search Trip Advisor. Outdoor Reisen had great reviews so we reached out to Nicole and inquired about her approach and availability. From our initial contact to the conclusion of our trip two days ago, things couldn't have gone better. She was patient and helpful then a typo caused me to misdirect our initial deposit through PayPal - and was even kind enough to suggest it was PayPal's error, not me and my clumsy fingers....
She was communicative before we arrived ensuring that we would be able to plan the tour we wanted, offering us several alternatives. In fact, even on the date of our tour she provided us several options. The tour itself was awesome - boat, cog train, cable car and train, with a great hike and a wonderful mountainside meal at a charming restaurant all part of the mix. Her knowledge of the area was great, her English speaking skills perfect and her personality highly enjoyable!! So, if you are, as we were, searching Trip Advisor to find the perfect person to lead your adventure, stop here and contact Nicole!!

Nicole is an excellent tour guide. From the planning stage of our trip, Nicole shows professionalism. She's very prompt in responding to my email. She's very helpful, cheerful, patience, highly organize & knowledgeable. Even after our 2-day trip with Nicole, she layout an excellent train itinerary so we can visit other Swiss cities. I highly recommend Nicole to my friends and family who would like to visit Switzerland. She made our Switzerland trip very memorable. She's like a family and it's hard to say goodbye after our 2-day tour. The best vacation ever!!! We will surely missed her.

Looking for a private countryside tour with family of 5. Do you offer any transportation to see places not accessible by train ?

No, on mount Pilatus you can not rent bikes. You can rent bikes in Lucerne and bike in the vicinity of Pilatus.

How much did it cost you for both the tours of Mt Titlis and Jungfrau?
Can they both be done in one day?
We are 2 people and will be visiting in June.
