A tiny little village at 5500 feet elevation (according to Google), Tinchuley is as remote as it gets. Stunning carpets of pine trees in the background, the village road winds its way through a lush deciduous forest, small houses right next to each other (many are actually homestays as there are no hotels here, thank goodness), tiny convenience stores where most of the time the owners are away and people help themselves and leave the money in a jar (shocking and heart-stirring), a possè of village dogs ( look out for the ageing Kali and her pack), smiling people, clouds that come and go and silence all around...if this isn't heaven then don't know what is.

In the lap of nature, underneath towering conifer fauna, lies this off the beaten-track hamlet of Tinchuley, each corner on the roads and path crossing is a beauty in itself, enriched with amazing natural beauty, this hamlet boasts quite a few homestays and cottages across different budgets, The Morning is truly magical here, Sunrise, and rays falling on the Mountains on the north is heavenly, also other places to see in the region are nearby. Must Recommend! Cant forget the walks underneath the woods!

Tucked in the Himalayan hills, this small hamlet is the ideal place to seep in the beauties of the Himalayan foothills. You can enjoy walking through meandering paths through pinewoods or through vast tea gardens, with the magnificient view of the snow peaked Himalayan Range, the 'Kanchenjangha' right infront of you! How better can you enjoy solitude, becoming one with Mother Nature?

Tinchuley is a small village near Darjeeling at approximately 5500 feet altitude. This place famous for the community tourism developed by the local people. When you are tired with the hassle Basle of your daily life & need sometime of your own, this is the place for you. Just relax & enjoy the nature. On a clear day the Kanchanjungha range can also be seen from here. We had an amazing experience staying at Noyang Home Stay. Their home cooked food was excellent to say the least. I highly recomand a stay at Noyang Home Stay. The rooms, the garden & overall ambiance is mervellus.

This spot can offer a landscape view of green valley, tea garden , snow capped kanchenjenga along with other wide range mountain views under blue sky.
Half an hour to 1 hour is enough to enjoy this nature's beauty from Tinchuley View Point , during sightseeing tour of lamahatta eco park, tinchuley and takdah.
This place is far from over crowded , so certain calmness remain here.

The viewpoint on top of a tea garden presents some of the spectacular views of the mountains and the valley. It appeared to be less explored, yet traveling here to enjoy the view is well worth it. Arguably the second-best thing after the view of Kanchenjunga in Darjeeling.

This spot will be covered during your regular sightseeing of the Darjeeling city and bearing the cliched name " Lover's meet View Point" you might want to skip it at first because you are already tired of roaming accross the entire city throughout the day and the name doesn't appeal to you much. But if you are a traveler you might know by now that the most beautiful places can come at the most unexpected times and this view point is one such example.
I realised that there is a reason why such places are called lover's point because once you experience the view you might get a little happier, a little more romantic if you are with your loved one and might end up writing a few romantic lines , such is the effect of the place. The aerial view of the meeting point of the Teesta and Rangit river gives a surreal experience and demands attention. Don't forget to keep your camera charged as you might end up clicking 100's of shots to get your frame .

Going to Tinchuley from NJP.
Should we visit Takdah (Takdah orchid center, monastry, rungli rungliot tea garden and etc) on the way before reaching Tinchuley?
Or should we reach tinchuley first and then go?
I saw in google map, that from NJP to Tinchuley we can go but not via Takdah,
but I have seen people visit Takdah on the way of reaching tinchuley,
please suggest.

Depends on your timing. You will be losing light lot quickly these days so if you reach Tinchuley last there is a possibility that it would be almost dark now. It's better to go back from Tinchuley
