After some exploring the Porongurup region we wanted just to sit at some nice place and have a nice coffee. After seeing a sign Coffee and lunch at Ironwood estate we thought it will be just perfect. What a mistake!!!!!! Hard steel chairs at the outside terrace with horrible coffee . Felt like drinking bad filtered coffee. I would not make such a bad one myself at home and would cost me nothing. But this one was $5,-!!!!!! Happy to pay if it reflects the quality- this one definitely did not! I can’t even imagine, what the food would be like!!!!!!!

We arrived as part of a group of parents with children. The adults were going to do wine tasting while the children were going to have something to eat. The woman who owns/runs the business came out and asked how many were going to do wine tasting. We indicated the 8 adults were. She asked how many were eating, but we were still doing the head-count when she rudely said, "We don't have enough eating for everyone..." (despite there being ample seating for our group) "...the rest of you will have to wait outside, because... Covid!"
Covid!? Seriously!? It's late December 2022 and the only places in the world with Covid restrictions are communist China and Ironwood Estate Wines!
There was no need to lie. If you're too lazy to make up food for paying customers because wine-tasting is easier and more profitable, just stop advertising food.
There are lots of local places to go where your trade is valued and the customer service is exceptional, so why waste your time here?
We won't be back. We won't be recommending it to anyone. We'll definitely be warning others not to waste their time too.

The day you arrived was extremely busy our tasting area already had a very large group, I thought it quite reasonable to ask the non wine tasters to wait at the picnic table to allow those tasting not to be too cramped.
My covid comment was to explain we had a staff member off with covid and our kitchen was pushed to capacity, every table had been booked or was being used. Lazy I am not! , getting staff is extremely difficult and we are doing the best we can in these trying circumstances and at this very busy time of year, a little more understanding and maybe boooking a table in advance would have been helpful.

We arrived quite late, and starving. The lovely couple running the place were just seeing of their last customers. When we explained we hadn't eaten since starting our journey several hours ago they very kindly made us a light lunch. The wine was great and the views on the terrace overlooking the Stirling ranges was spectacular. Lot's of little birds and busy bees made it a very pleasurable experience. A lovely couple.

Popped in for coffee and lunch after a wet walk up Castle Rock. Wonderfully warm and scenic, with views to Stirling Range and itself set against the Porongurups. Friendly service, lovely yet simple food options and an extensive list of very well priced wines. The view and Gardens are stunning. Go Badgers !

Lovely place for food and great wines. On a clearer day the view would have been spectacular. A gem we found. A must to stop at.

The wine is so good that many of their varieties are sold out, but I enjoyed a lovely bottle of Chardonnay on the terrace with views to the Stirling Ranges.

winw tasting was great, but the Cafe let it down, not welcoming at all. We missed the closing time by a couple of minutes due to sampling and buying their wines. We were told no food now kitchen closed. Not good business sense.

Had tastings and lunch at this winery and enjoyed both . The restaurant has great views of the surrounding countryside . The food was well cooked and tasty even though the menu was limited . Their wines were nice and it was a nice experience

We visited this winery on the 10th of March, we were going for wine tasting and lunch, we walked in and had a look at the lovely view and the owner came out and asked us where we were going to sit, we said we hadn't decided yet, he turned around and walked off and said let me know when you've decided not a very nice way to speak to your patrons, then the lady came out and said don't just come in here and use the toilets like a lot of people do!! Very rude to talk to people like this in front of other diners, on that note we turned around and walked out, their loss, we were a group of 9 who eats a lot and drinks a lot, needless to say they missed out

Small menu but the food was good, struggled with ingredients because of deliveries due to COVID, this meant a few of the options on the menu were not available at the time. View overlooking the land behind was spectacular and just what the doctor ordered after a quick hike up to the skywalk earlier.
