The ride is beautiful, the place itself is ok. Beware of taxi Fraud and snow bike fraud. Snow bike rates are around Rs 700-800 per person/ per ride. Jacket and boots are around Rs50-100 each.
The taxi ride from Sonmarg taxi stand is Rs 4000 both ways.

Zoji La Pass or Zero Point is 30-35 km from Sonamarg.

The ride is hilly, bumby and narrow. But the views are breathtaking. We see Amarnath Start point, Kashmir Village and the overall beauty of Himalayas.

Do plan your trip , as entry from both directions is timed. For us from Sonamarg side it opened at 1pm.

The Glacier (Zero point) itself is quite majestic. We opted for a snow bike (and were overly charged - 2k/Person) the ride itself lasted less than 5 mins (we went to Phase 2). (Don’t pay more than 1k/ person) . The point on the glacier was majestic, and due to less crowd this side we were able to take plenty of pictures and just soak in the atmosphere.

Zero point has some small eatiers (but is overpriced again) . We stayed there for 50-60 mins which we thought was sufficient.

A tip : If booking a cab from Sonamarg (4000/cab) , at Zero point it get very crowded and we don’t get any connectivity (Airtel / Vodafone). So decide before hand were the cab would be parked (ideally just before the drop point)

Hello everyone, very unplanned trip to majestic destination zojila - zero point(review)
It was a sunny day we headed towards sonmarg . I simply requested Mr Ashiq Bhai that we want to visit zojila pass, he smiled and said ok. What I found he took immense efforts to get permission on odd day to make this journey possible. I and my hubby with my two small daughters started our ride, we witnessed breathingtaking scenes. I was so relaxed with the driving experience of Ashiq Bhai and safety measures.
When we reached zero point ,,ahh what a moment we immersed completely in scenic beauty of it.
All I thanks is Mr Ashiq (9797726520)
for his care and efforts for our family.
I highly recommend him and his suggestions
Thankyou.

Zozilla Pass offers an exhilarating adventure with icy mountains flanking the rocky road. Controlled by BSF, the journey is guided by skilled drivers navigating narrow paths. Arriving at zero point, the cold is warmed by comforting hot Maggi noodles. A must-try experience for Kashmir visitors, the thrill and beauty of the journey in May 2016 remain unforgettable.

Zojila pass was closed as when we went there but we got to enjoy other sceninc beauties of sonamarg Kashmir. All credits to our Ashiq bhai. This is not an endorsed comment. This is an honest review based on our experience.
Our trip was mainly guided by Ashiq bhai. We really were carefree on our trip because of him. For first 3 days Ashiq bhai arranged a vehicle and a driver in a reasonable price. Mostly people like to loot you on tourist places, telling you fares touching sky heights. But Ashiq bhai being honest and a humble man , who not only charged us fairly but took care of various other stuffs during our trip, making it more easier. He also informed us about the scams and the accurate charges of other trip activities whether it is snow related activities or a simple shawl shopping so that we dont get looted. I really thank you Ashiq bhai if you are reading this review, for making our trip to Paradise of India amazing. If someone is planning to visit Kashmir, you can contact him on 9797726520. Trust me you will like the services. He will guide you correctly.

Zojila Paas is the last and most beautiful point if you opt for 3-4 spots visit except Kargil. The road is purely hilly, narrow and stiff. But don’t look at road, instead enjoy the surroundings. The most scenic place among popular tourist spots in Kashmir. You can see the fish pond, last village, Amarnath Yatra stating point all from your cab.Stop anywhere, depending on driver and take as much photos you can. But do these activities on your return journey, as you cannot predict the weather condition at Zojila paas.It may spoil your trip. Neither any eatery nor any type of shops on whole way upto zero point. So carry water and other eatables with you. There is a small war memorial at zero point in Zojila paas. A small hilltop covered with snow add to its beauty.

A phenomenal road. Views around every corner, simply outstanding scenery. The road is a bit narrowing parts, there is a steep drop without barriers, very interesting. But certainly well worth it for scenery as good or better than Switzerland and Austria. Enjoy the greenery and fir trees, the landscape changes completely after passing Kargil.

A good road trip while on the way to zero point. A quite high-altitude hilly ride but in the poor condition of the local union taxi.

We drove from Sonamarg through the Zojila Pass to Zero Point and Dras (Kargil War Memorial). The grandeur and beauty of the landscape cannot be described or imagined. The road is gradually winding and ascends quite rapidly. Looking down into the valley from which you have ascended is breathtaking. The sheer face of the mountain with the narrow road cut into its face and the opposite rolling mountain range with thick snow on craggy rock and clean, clear rivers running through, makes you feel enveloped in a blanket of immense beauty.
A few things to remember. Plan the day and time of your trip well. On Friday, it is closed for maintenance. The timings during which traffic can pass through from each side - Sonamarg or Dras - is released through a travel advisory by the authorities based on weather. We left early ( 5.45 am) which was a very good decision. We avoided the crowd of tourists on the way and reached Zero Point by 7.15 am. We really just wanted to enjoy the landscape in peace. Besides us, there was only a small group of bikers and we reveled in the peace and beauty all-around. The glacier with untouched fresh snow extended on all sides bright and sparkling in the early morning sunlight. No picture can do justice to the place and we tried to capture the moment in our hearts and memories.
We drove onto Dras and the Kargil War Memorial and spent some time there. A very well maintained facility and we were glad we visited. On the way we saw Tiger Peak from the road in the distance.
We started the return journey by 10 am.
We encountered only a few vehicles coming from the opposite direction as most had reached Zero Point by then ( throngs of tourists). The heavy vehicles were yet to be allowed to start their ascent (there are timings for them as well). In fact the system of timings works really well to prevent congestion on the narrow road.
