Magnificent temple, also known as Mahaprabhuji's Bethak. Lord Krishna's honour. Shri Krishna is in a semi-reclining position. The temple commemorates the episode when a poacher, Jara, mistakenly hit the Lord with his arrow, thinking it's a deer. The Lord left for his heavenly abode after this episode.
Jay Shri Krishna 🙏💙

As history says, Sri Krishna, was not happy with he way Yadav's were conducting themselves in Dwarka. Krishna used to come to Somnath to take rest, and for peace.
While he was resting under the tree, the Hunter saw his moving feet and thinking it is a deer, hit it with his arrow. The arrow injured Sri Krishna, which ultimately was the way Krishna left his human Avatar. This was the start of Kalyug.
The place is converted into a temple, and is well maintained, with beautiful architecture.
Best to visit in the evening, as it is less crowded. Can reach here by our vehicle, or take a bus tide at ₹ 30/- from the Somnath temple door. This bus is run by the temple trust and it runs at 0800 & 1500 Hrs. from the temple gate.
Since I like Krishna and his stories, was sad to know that he left the world at this place😭.
Photos were allowed in this place, so most of the people were busy taking photos, rather than offering prayers to the god.

The place where Lord Shri Krishna had his antim Leela. He was shot with an arrow at his feet unknowingly by a bhil and then departed from the earth.
The place has other temples around including Mahaprabhuji Behtakji.
Calm and good vibes. To spend some time and click pics. Place a few kms to Somnath temple. Must visit if you go to Somnath.
Nearby other temples like the sun temple Shivling temple etc on way also.
Jai Shree Krishna..

The Mandir can be considered one of the most important places in terms of Hindusim. The religious importance can be taken from the fact that once you enter the temple, there is an information board here which states this was where Lord Krishna was shot in the leg by the hunter Jara thinking it to be a deer. And from here, he walked all the way to a nearby temple known as Geeta Mandir, from which he left his mortal body.
The temple is magnificent and very intricately constructed. The temple's dome is enormous, and you can see a step-like design on the inner side of the dome. The actual murti of Lord Krishna is one of the most beautiful ones I have seen, which shows him in the same resting position with Jara at his feet, apologizing for having shot the arrow.
All in all a tranquil, calm, and beautiful place, one which you cannot miss when at Somnath !!!

A little bit far away from Somnath and near to Veraval Town, this place is a holy place where Lord Krishna was wounded while resting and got shot by an arrow on foot.
The idol of the temple depicts the same and is beautiful.
Though the place is historical, but the temple is not quite old, though it is architecturally beautiful.
Went in evening found it to be less crowded. Accessibility is easy with public transport.
Overall clean and peaceful, a must visit if in Somnath, if not for divinity but for the events which are mythologically important.

A really beautiful place. Very well maintained. Clean and peaceful. We had a poojari-ji tell us the whole story of Krishna's death here and that just made the trip more memorable.

Hi,
A. Places to visit:
1. Somnath temple itself (find out Aarti timings and visit 20-30 mins b4 aarti for best experience).
2. Near by Old Somnath temple ( in front of out gate to main temple)
3. Bhalka teerth
4. Triveni Sangam (you can plan a bath over here- if you feel it appropriate)
5. Geeta Mandir (here there are group of temples in vicinity, so can visit all of them)
6. Panch pandav gufa (not recommend for people w/ breathing related problems)
7. A newly constructed Ram temple near triveni
8. Somnath beach
(Expenses INR for this:
Auto: 200-250 max
Taxi: 300-400 (not 100%sure)
Somnath darshan bus (starts from Main Somnath temple): 20-30)
B. Wheather: Wheather remains pleasent in December starting while nights being little cold (but still pleasent)
Hope this answer will help!
