3 of us dropped in for a visit to this beautiful winery on Sunday 19th November we received fantastic service from the lady who greeted us, she was very knowledgeable about the winery and the area, suggested we go for a walk in the cellar and then suggested a sparkling tasting which we proceeded to get a bottle. We sat out on the deck which had beautiful views of the Goulburn River.

We really enjoyed our day at Tahbilk and absolutely fell in love with the winery and the estate. Special shout-out to the team for the lovely itinerary they planned for us! Our day guide, Michael, was a really enthusiastic and knowledgeable man who brought so much life to the estate through his stories. The wine-mixing class led by Bruce was loads of fun too and taught us so much about how to appreciate wine; we even got to bring home a bottle of our own mix! We rounded the day off with a scenic boat cruise along the estate’s wetlands, which was made even lovelier by the wonderful blue weather. We had such a memorable time at Tahbilk and are so grateful to the warm and welcoming team for making this possible!

A special place, a fabulous day. We caught a taxi out for the tasting, just in case.
The cellar door experience, and the tasting was fantastic.
Kylie was friendly, helpful, informative and we enjoyed the experience.
We wandered underneath to the cellars. WOW!
We then wandered across to the wetlands restaurant. The menu just very tempting, we chose to stay and were very, very happy. Food was sensational. Wines to match. Service was good, and we could see the staff were busy.
Finished sitting the deck with affogatos. A wonderful day, highly recommended.
Bought boxes of wines!

My wife and I visited this Winery and Vineyard recently during our holiday in Nagambie, where we stayed at the Nagambie Waterfront Motel near the town centre.

This was our second visit to this Estate, as we were here last year and enjoyed our visit so much that we decided to visit again.

The main attraction for us was the extensive Eco Trail next to this Estate. We walked across the entire walking trails and were the only visitors during our visit. It was mid week off peak season.

My wife and I were travelling to Benalla for a 2 day Golf Tournament. We left home Sunday morning and decided to drop into a couple of wineries we have never been to in the past on the way. The first was Fowles just off the Hume Hwy and the second was Tahbilk winery.
Tahbilk Winery is very old and has plenty of history, in fact we were told it is the oldest in Victoria. The Cellar door was quite large and were greeted by a lady named "June", who was one of the staff with the tasting.
My wife and I are experienced, "Wineys" and love and know our wine. June was the most pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable tasting staff person we have ever met. We chatted with her while tasting their wine for over an hour, she was of a similar age and we shared family, travel history and anything else that came up with her while tasting the wine. It was the most pleasant experience we have ever had at a winery. As far as the wine went, we enjoyed their whites, sparkling whites and sparkling shiraz. Not a fan of their Shiraz and Cab Sav, all a bit too much Tanin for us. We purchased a half dozen and continued on our way. June, was a champion lady and what a shame we lived so far apart as we would have loved to have seen her later and formed a friendship. Great Experience.

It was a lovely afternoon at Tahbilk, we had a lovely meal at the restuarant. The food and wine was sensational and the service was fantastic. Lovely, friendly staff. We then wandered around the grounds and admired the old buildings. We will be back to try the wine tasting and a bit of exploring on the eco trails.

Great place to visit. Oozes the history of the winery. You can experience by wandering amongst the original buildings with historical machinery, venture down into the cellars or undertake some wine tasting with very knowledgeable and attentive staff.

Would definitely recommend a visit from young to old

We called in at Chateau Tahbilk for a cellar-door experience. We didn't dine at their restaurant nor undertake any other activities. We were quite familiar with their wines, which we liked ... a lot. We were certainly not to be disappointed. When we arrived we were surprised that the winery reminded us a wine chateau we had visited near Bordeaux a few years ago. Both the buildings and the grounds were very reminiscent. The winery dates from 1860 and has an impressive provenance. We sampled an array of whites and reds, including some vintage reds that aren't normally available for tasting, but the bottles had already been opened ... so our host invited us to try these too, which was must appreciated. And there no fee fo tasting at Tahbilk - unlike virtually any winery in NSW you go to these days.
We particularly liked their Cab Sav and the Cab Merlot, as well as some of the whites. Needless to say, we came away with a box of wine and also joined their wine club.
Don't miss the very impressive, evocative cellar under the tasting area. Also, the winery says it is carbon-neutral, another positive.

We had a booking for the Tahbilk Cellar door. It is an amazing looking cellar. The staff were very informative and the tastings most enjoyable. We walked away with a few bottles of red and white wine along with a muscat. Also, while you are visiting, take in the museum section and learn the history behind five generations of the Tahbilk family.

We were lucky enough to coincide our visit with the Tahbilk farmer's market. Not a very big market, about 25 stalls but the stalls had excellent produce and home crafts for sale. Market Day is the fourth Sunday of the month so keep this in mind when visiting.

Between the market, cellar door tastings and the restaurant we had a great day at Tahbilk winery. Highly Recommend.
